The first day of Formula 1 2025 testing is the subject of the latest Autosport Podcast, which features the initial indications of what the pecking order could be.

Alex Kalinauckas and Ben Hunt report from the Bahrain International Circuit to wrap up the key talking points from a day that featured some unusual weather conditions.

In the review, Alex and Ben talk about the ease with which McLaren has settled into the opening day as reigning constructors' champion, including a little prank on the TV crew.

Mercedes' performance is also discussed, including Andrea Kimi Antonelli's impressive first day when he led the morning session, along with Red Bull's display - which featured a spin for Liam Lawson and some trips off-road for world champion Max Verstappen

Elsewhere, there are also positives for debutant Isack Hadjar at Racing Bulls, and an analysis of why Ollie Bearman might be in for a tough rookie season at Haas.
