Autosport Podcast: F1 Tuscan GP review

In a hectic Tuscan Grand Prix which saw two red flags and only 12 drivers finish the race, Lewis Hamilton clinched his 90th career Formula 1 victory

After an opening lap clash put Max Verstappen and Italian GP winner Pierre Gasly out at the second corner, the first-ever Mugello F1 race was thrown into chaos with a massive crash at the back of the pack during the safety car restart.

Following an initial red flag to clear up the mess which eliminated four more drivers, while Esteban Ocon failed to make the restart, the race was later stopped for a second time when Lance Stroll crashed heavily at Arrabbiata 2 due to a suspected tyre puncture.

In a race which would last almost two-and-a-half hours, Hamilton was able to control the restarts and clinch his sixth victory of the season ahead of Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas, while Alexander Albon secured his maiden F1 podium in third place for Red Bull.

Autosport's Grand Prix Editor Alex Kalinauckas is joined by Autosport's F1 reporter Luke Smith, GP Racing Magazine Executive Editor Stuart Codling and Motorsport.com's F1 Editor Jonathan Noble to dissect the crazy race at Mugello.
