Arrows Pleased with Practice Work

The Arrows team were happy with their progress on Friday despite Dutchman Jos Verstappen finishing today's practice session in 18th place, one spot ahead of teammate Enrique Bernoldi.

The Arrows team were happy with their progress on Friday despite Dutchman Jos Verstappen finishing today's practice session in 18th place, one spot ahead of teammate Enrique Bernoldi.

The Leafield-based team, who will be using Cosworth engines next season, introduced a new front end for their Asiatech-powered A22s, including a new wing. Chief race engineer Graham Taylor admitted after practice the team were happy with the progress made.

"The cars ran reliably throughout so we were able to successfully 'back-to-back' our new front end," said Taylor. "Enrique had a couple of minor spins but that was him just finding the limit and there was no damage done."

Verstappen, who has scored the only point for Arrows this season, was also pleased with his day's work.

"We had a good session today and got lots of work done," said Verstappen. "We ran with the new front wing, learning how to set-up the rest of the car to suit it. We did all our tyre work and set-up work so overall I'm quite happy with the job we did today."
