Alonso insists no problems with Hamilton

World champion Fernando Alonso says he has no problems at all with Lewis Hamilton after the Hungarian Grand Prix row

Alonso yesterday met with McLaren's bosses and with Hamilton later to clear the air following the controversy of the Hungaroring qualifying session.

"I had a meeting with Ron (Dennis) and Norbert (Haug) and we tried to speak about what happened in Hungary," Alonso told reporters in Turkey.

"We tried to move forward, and I tried to clarify everything. Everything is okay. The past is the past and what happened in Hungary, it is not the right time to think about it now.

"With six races to go we need to try and win the championship and we need to think about Turkey now."

Alonso insisted he is back in talking terms with Hamilton and that there are no problems between them.

He added: "I talked with Lewis yesterday as well. Not to laugh, because it is not a funny thing, but about how we have been in the press all summer, creating this fight between each other.

"I have no problems with him at all and he has no problems with me at all. After what happened in Hungary, we talked to each other. And everything is so clear. We try to understand about why everybody wants to put us in a fight, because it is just not true."

The Spaniard said the team have moved to make sure there will be no repeat of what happened in Hungary.

"What is sure is that we talked about Hungary and we all agreed that what happened in Hungary should not be repeated any more and that we should concentrate to try to beat the Ferraris," Alonso added.

"And that is the aim. With six races to go we are in a very good position to win the championship, drivers' and constructors', so we need to think about Turkey and the future to try and win the championship."
