Hamilton reprimanded for pit incident
Lewis Hamilton escaped with nothing more than a reprimand for cutting across the pitlane entry line in second practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
The McLaren driver, who needs to win this weekend's race at the Yas Marina circuit to have any chance of grabbing the title, made a late dive for the pits across the front of Bruno Senna after running wide at the final sequence of corners.
As Senna took some avoiding action to avoid a collision, Hamilton broke the rule that states drivers cannot cross the white line marking the pit entry on the Abu Dhabi circuit.
After he and Senna were summoned to the stewards' office following the practice sessions, it was decided that Hamilton would just be given a reprimand.
"I was honest, I was just trying to get in there," said Hamilton. "Me and Bruno have no problems, it was just a big misunderstanding - he was trying to start his lap, I was trying to come in.
"I'm going to speak to Bruno to make sure everything's cool.
