Ferrari confirms Bianchi as 2011 tester

Ferrari has announced that Jules Bianchi be the team's official test driver in 2011

The 21-year-old Frenchman signed a long-term deal with Ferrari last year as the first recruit of the Ferrari Driver Academy.

He drove for the team on two days of last year's young driver test at Jerez, as well as testing a 2008 Ferrari at Fiorano in June this year.

Bianchi is currently third in the GP2 standings heading into this weekend's Abu Dhabi finale and hopes to return to the series for a second season in 2011.

Ferrari will also test the top three drivers in this year's Italian Formula 3 championship, with Cesar Ramos, Stephane Richelmi and Andrea Caldarelli each getting seat time at Yas Marina next week.
