Doornbos out to enjoy final three races
Red Bull Racing's Robert Doornbos has vowed to go out and enjoy himself in the last three races of the year, rather than worry about impressing enough to secure a drive in 2007
The Dutchman has been drafted in to race in the Chinese, Japanese and Brazilian Grands Prix in place of Christian Klien, who parted ways with Red Bull after turning down the chance to go to Champ Car next year.
Doornbos has no chance of racing for Red Bull Racing next year, with the team having already signed David Coulthard and Mark Webber, but he could remain a tester for them.
However, he has said that he would prefer to race next year if there was the possibility. The only real chances in F1 are with Super Aguri and Spyker-Midland, who are likely to have a vacancy alongside Christijan Albers.
Speaking to autosport.com, Doornbos said: "I am really happy to be doing the last three races.
"I have to enjoy those for now and I will think about the future afterwards. I have a chance with Red Bull for next year too, but I want to go racing.
"I am not going to think about that now, though. I just have to do the best I can for the next three races."
