Liuzzi predicts tough race

Tonio Liuzzi is predicting a long, tough race for his Toro Rosso team tomorrow after struggling with tyre problems in today's qualifying

"I had a lot of problems with the rear tyres on my run, as they were degrading," said Liuzzi, who posted the 17th quickest time.

"During qualifying, it felt as though I had no traction at all, which is strange because I had been hoping to at least move on to the next part of the session.

"The cool weather did not help us. It will be a long tough race tomorrow."

Despite qualifying two places behind his teammate, American Scott Speed was more hopeful ahead of the race.

"We knew we were going to struggle in qualifying, so we concentrated on getting as well prepared as possible for the race," said Speed. "Given our tyre choice, I think we are looking quite good, especially as I think we will have an excellent race pace for tomorrow.

"Overtaking is hard to do here but you never know how things can turn out. We've been slow all weekend, but for us on this side of the garage, we are looking in reasonable shape for the race."
