Red Bull duo were hoping for more

Red Bull's David Coulthard was left wanting more following a disappointing qualifying session at the Imola circuit

"What can I say? We hoped to get into the final ten, but we weren't quick enough," said Coulthard, who will start tomorrow's race from 14th position.

"It's disappointing what we understand the challenge we face and we're not scared of it. We just need to get on with working to make the car go faster.

"From back here, it's going to be very difficult to get any points, but as usual, we will do the best we can."

The Scot still managed to outqualify teammate Christian Klien, who was hit by an electrical problem which stopped him from trying to make it past the first session.

The Austrian will start from 17th.

"I had an electrical problem with the pitlane speed limit button, which came on during my out lap, so I couldn't accelerate any more," Klien explained.

"That went on for two or three corners and so with the slow speed, my tyres cooled down and I could not get them up to temperature for my flying lap."
