Drivers to Meet Mosley in Silverstone
David Coulthard has refused to get drawn into further controversy over a possible split in the Grand Prix Drivers' Association, but has confirmed that the drivers are set to meet with FIA president Max Mosley at Silverstone next week
Following Coulthard's revelation in the GPDA meeting at Magny-Cours on Friday that he had been called by Mosley after Indianapolis, which subsequently caused concern among several other drivers, the Briton has revealed that the matter will now be deferred until the Friday of the British Grand Prix.
When asked on the grid prior to the start of the French Grand Prix about the various stories circulating about the Mosley call, which was first revealed by Autosport-Atlas, Coulthard said that he was not expecting any developments for several days.
"Unfortunately it's like all these things, people only get half the story," he said. "The reality is that the drivers have some concerns and we have a meeting scheduled with the FIA president on Friday at Silverstone to discuss it behind closed doors."
