Davidson says 2003 is 50-50
Britain's latest Grand Prix star Anthony Davidson believes he has done enough to earn a full-time F1 drive in 2003, but reckons there is only a 50 per cent chance that he will secure one
"I've made up my mind that I am about 50 percent sure that I have a drive," he told Autosport.com. "It can either go one way or another, but we have got a few options."
"We are talking to all the teams that have drives available, that's Jordan, Jaguar, Toyota and Minardi," he added, "and it doesn't take a genius to work out which drive would be the best to take. We have just got to sit back. I am not going to worry about it, I am just going to wait for it."
Davidson's recent two-race stint with Minardi has been an impressive one, and he believes that it proved he is ready to step up into the big league full-time.
"I am pretty sure that one day I will land an F1 drive," he said, "but I am not sure it will be next year. I hope it is, I am ready for it, and I think I have proved that I can be ready for it."
