Schuey wants to wrap up title at home GP

It is mathematically possible for the German to win the championship at the next race at Magny-Cours on July 21, but the Ferrari star feels that it is more likely that he will complete his crushing domination of the 2002 season a week later in front of his adoring fans.

"For this to happen [winning the title in France], all the other drivers in the running would have to retire or be very unlucky," he said. "And I don't think they'll do that for me.

"Anyway, it would be much nicer to win the title at the next race in Hockenheim, even though I must try and win the title as quickly as possible. The chances seem good, I know, but I also know that anything can still happen, so I don't want to start speculating too much."

In 10 races this season, Schumacher has taken seven wins, two seconds and a third. If he wins the title in Germany - with five rounds still to go - it will be the earliest any driver has ever wrapped up a drivers' championship in F1 history.
