Williams nervous of March 19
Shortly after Ron Dennis's appeal for rational thought among the media in the face of expected pressure for widespread changes to the Formula 1 sporting regulations in the name of cost-cutting, one Grand Prix racing's high profile team owners, Frank Williams, has backed him up
Proposals for change, including suggestions to limit engine usage, will be discussed at an F1 Commission meeting in Paris on March 19, the day after the circus returns from round two of the championship in Malaysia.
"I would just say that I fear that March 19 is very, very close and given that we have all been very, very busy testing and preparing for the season, working very long days, I would imagine that not a lot of time, or enough time, has been spent discussing and considering what exactly we should do to the engines," said Williams. "Some of Max's (Mosley's) ideas are correct, one or two require further discussion or even changing completely, but I do emphasise that we all need to save money."
