More TV work for Blundell
Mark Blundell has confirmed that he will continue his role as ITV pundit in the studio, alongside regular presenters Jim Rosenthal and Tony Jardine. Blundell will combine his ITV duties with an expanded MG programme, which includes an ambassadorial role. He will also perform full-time presenting duties on Carlton TV's Pulling Power series.
Le Mans will be the focus of Blundell's on track activity as he aims for a second 24 Hour victory to add to his success with Peugeot in 1992. He will also promote MG and advise the company on its motor sport activities.
"It's going to be a busy, exciting and hopefully, fun, year" said Blundell in Melbourne. "I'm proud to be ambassador for MG's motorsport programme and I plan to be very proactive in flying the flag for them."
"With ITV I'm planning to use all my race knowledge and experience to complement Jim and Tony. After a year in the studio, I've developed my own role and expect to be putting my views across for each race - however contentious they may be!
"All in all, it's set to be a good year for me. There are a number of exciting projects both on and off track, which are at the planning stage at the moment, but I will be announcing them later this year."
