Michael: I'd a bad feeling about this...

Michael Schumacher admitted after his title-winning victory that he'd had a feeling of foreboding heading into the race in Hungary that the championship would elude him this weekend

The German confessed he came to the 13th round of the Formula 1 World Championship convinced the crown would go to the next race in Belgium. And he shared his thoughts with Ferrari team boss Jean Todt.

"It has been a beautiful weekend, but I came with not such a good feeling, for what reason I am not sure," he said. "I told Jean I am not sure it is going to happen here. But then I got pole, won the race, equalled the 51st win and won the championship. It couldn't have been better"

He choked back tears as he spoke in the post-race press conference.

"It's all a bit too much for me right now," he confessed. "This is a great achievement, but the way it has been done is what makes me feel so fantastic.

"The team around us, Rubens (Barrichello) and myself, is amazing. We stick together in bad times and good times and we have had bad times.

"But they are such a great crew, I am really in love with all of them. They are such fun to work with, this is their achievement."
