Mercedes F1 team-mates Hamilton and Rosberg at odds over Hungary

Lewis Hamilton says he is happy with how Mercedes reacted to the team orders row at the Hungarian Grand Prix, but he is not sure Nico Rosberg is as content

The Briton declined to obey an instruction to let Rosberg overtake him during their battles at the Hungaroring, leaving his team-mate upset and demanding clear-the-air talks.

But although Rosberg and Hamilton have spoken individually with team management since the last race, it is understood the two drivers have not talked to each other about the matter.

And while Hamilton says he thinks a line has been drawn under the affair with the team understanding how to deal with such complicated situations better in the future, he suspects his title rival is not yet content.

"I think it is very clear for me," said Hamilton. "I am not sure it is the same the other side [with Rosberg].

"I think today, if there is any unclear air, it will be cleared before the weekend starts for sure."

Rosberg was deliberately coy about his feelings when asked on Thursday, suggesting that he did not want to say anything about the matter because it would only serve to whip up the media.

"I gather it was a bit of a mess afterwards, after Hungary, so it's best I don't add too much I think and I continue to not give too many details," he said.

"In general of course we discussed it after the race - just because it's important to review a situation like that and know how to move forward.

"Now we're moving forward but of course, I have also learned various things from that race which I will try to adapt for the future."

Hamilton said he felt matters did not need discussing in depth, as it is understood the team management had expressed its view on how both drivers and teams could react better in the future if there are scenarios where one of them may need to assist the other.

"I have come here quite clear in what is to be done, and what needs to be done by the team," he said. "I feel quite comfortable in how the team have reacted in terms of the decision they made.

"We don't always all individually make the right decisions and the teams won't always make the right decision.

"But the best thing is we learn from our decisions and we move forward - and there is no tension, no negativity. We move forward. We want to win the championship together as a team."
