Here's the report from a dramatic qualifying. We'll bid you au revoir, and we'll see you back here tomorrow for the race!

We can't wait, and we hope you can't either!

Arguably, in Maranello, it's already raining. Vettel made mistakes, Leclerc's day ended in Q1...what's going on at Ferrari?
"I've heard it's a 60% chance of rain", says Toto Wolff. If the other 40% is either snow, hail or cats/dogs, then it could be an absolute corker.
But, talk of rain on the radar. Tomorrow's going to be very exciting, especially if the clouds conspire to dump more water around the Monte Carlo harbour.
There you have it - a Mercedes lock-out, a perfect tribute to the dearly departed Niki Lauda.
Verstappen: "My lap in Q2 was good, but in Q3 I lost a bit in turn 1. It was a reasonable lap, in these streets your heart rate goes up a lot! With ten minutes before the session there wasn't even a floor on the car, so the mechanics did a great job."
Bottas: "I'm disappointed, I felt after the first lap there were plenty of places I could improve. On the outlap, I had traffic and couldn't get tyres up to temperature."

"Anything can happen, it would be nice to get pole but there's no point in giving up after Saturday."
"All of us drivers take our car, fast or slow, to the limit. And when you're at the limit, it's like wrestling a bull. I had an oversteer moment in the Rascasse, and I just held on. I don't know what the gap is, but I'll take it - it's perfect."
Hamilton: "This is the race that every driver dreams of, even as a kid. We've arrived with a great car, a great battle with Valtteri, and I think the desire and the will to get this pole, I've had to dig deeper than ever before."
Hamilton leaps onto the barrier and onto the fence to celebrate his pole position, he's absolutely chuffed to bits!
"That's what I'm talking about, WOO!" is Hamilton's closing gambit. An emotional pole.
That's Hamilton's second Monaco pole - didn't quite get below the 1m10s, but that's still an amazing time. Bottas just a whisker off!
Q3 result: 1 Hamilton, 2 Bottas, 3 Verstappen, 4 Vettel, 5 Gasly, 6 Magnussen, 7 Ricciardo, 8 Kvyat, 9 Sainz, 10 Albon.
Vettel ends up fourth behind Verstappen but ahead of Gasly. Magnussen has improved at the death to snatch sixth place from Ricciardo.
Bottas has rolled out of his attempt, so he misses out by 0.086s. It's pole position for Hamilton!
Vettel's hit the wall! He's kept going, but that's ruined his lap - nightmare day for Ferrari.
Hamilton with a personal best in the second sector. He's 0.004s up on Bottas after two sectors.
Hamilton is two tenths up on Bottas in sector one. Vettel is there or thereabout, Verstappen is slower.
Vettel, Hamilton and Verstappen will all be doing their final flyers ahead of Bottas here.
Magnussen improves but remains 0.014s slower than the Aussie. Kvyat and Albon are some way off in eighth and ninth respectively.
Into the final five minutes, time for a flurry of all-or-nothing laps. Ricciardo's running in the gap, so he'll have one tilt at this, while Magnussen, Kvyat, Sainz and Albon have also popped out to get running.
Ricciardo has timed his Q3 run to be in the gap between his rivals' first and second runs. Let's see how that pans out.
That Mercedes is just good everywhere. Remember a few seasons back when they were a little bit hopeless here? That's not the case in 2019.
Current order: 1 Bottas, 2 Hamilton, 3 Verstappen, 4 Vettel, 5 Gasly, 6 Magnussen, 7 Kvyat, 8 Sainz, 9 Albon, 10 Ricciardo (no time).
Gasly finds some more time on his second attempt on his current set of softs, getting to within a tenth of Vettel. Still, going by Verstappen's pace, Red Bull really should be locking out row two here.
Better from Hamilton, as he finally puts it together to go second, 0.231s behind Bottas. But even the Finn's slower second lap - a 1m10.340s - was still quicker than Hamilton's 1m10.483s.
Hamilton's not looking as happy as Bottas at the moment - but how many times have we said that, only for him to find something stellar? Don't discount him just yet.
