Gasly has a quick confab with his engineer on the radio: He felt a loss of power out of the last chicane. He'll have to live with it for the rest of his run on the hards but they'll get it sorted at the next stop, the team says.

Pierre Gasly has actually dared to set a lap time during the install procedures, clocking a 1m23.115s aboard his Red Bull.

Kevin Magnussen gets an early installation lap in during Free Practice 1.

Alexander Albon, Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo and Romain Grosjean quickly follow suit and head out for early installation laps.
Kyvat and Magnussen are first out, while Sainz takes a practice start from pit-lane.
