Mazepin and Leclerc are the latest culprits to have laps deleted for exceeding track limits at Turn 19.
Norris jumps to P3 only 0.140s shy of pacesetter Sainz.
Red Bull boss Christian Horner confirms Verstappen is undergoing a rear wing change as a precaution after a quick check up by the mechanics.
Sainz's effort is quicker than Friday's benchmark set by Bottas.
Bottas logs a legitimate lap now to split the Red Bulls.
Current order  with 20 minuets to go - Verstappen heads Perez, Hamilton, Leclerc, Sainz, Ricciardo, Norris, Alonso, Tsunoda and Latifi.
If you are wondering what happened to Bottas he has had his best time deleted for exceeding tack limits at Turn 19. He is currently without a timed lap in P20.
Verstappen is heading back out for another run. He joins Tsunoda, Raikkonen, Vettel, Gasly and Alonso out on track.
Verstappen is now 0.296s faster than teammate Perez at the top.
Verstappen improves his benchmark at the top. The Red Bull driver pumps in a 1m34.912s. He is the first into the 1m34s bracket.
The onboard confirms that was indeed a wild moment for Russell at Turn 5.
Russell is the next driver to suffer a spin. Luckily he keeps the Williams going.
Bottas has had a spin at Turn 6 where the FIA are now monitoring track limits. Bottas recovers and heads back to the pits.
Perez makes it a Red Bull 1-2 now. Incredibly he is 0.001s shy of teammate Verstappen.
To confirm Verstappen's time has come on the soft tyres. Only Gasly appears to be running using a compound other than the soft.
Verstappen fires in a 1m35.207s to shoot to the top by 0.364s over Hamilton.
Strong start for Ferrari as Sainz jumps to P4 now. Leclerc is sitting in P3.
Hamilton back to the top now with a 1m35.571s effort. Hamilton is 0.062s faster than Perez.
Alonso is running all new engine components. There has been some work going on at Alpine.
Bottas now on top with a 1m35.556s. Leclerc moves to P3 for Ferrari.
Perez goes fastest for Red Bull. The Mexican logs a 1m35.633s. That time is 0.1s quicker than early pacesetter Hamilton.
In fact, Ricciardo, Latifi, Stroll, Verstappen and Russell are the only drivers yet to venture out of the garage.
Majority of the field are out on track now with 17 minutes in the book.
Hamilton's effort is 5.1s faster than Alonso. Mazepin now fires in 1m38.442 to move to P2. Only four drivers have set timed laps.
Hamilton goes to the top of the times with his first effort. The Mercedes driver posts a 1m35.814s.
We are seeing a bit more movement in pit lane with Alfa Romeo's Kimi Raikkonen and Haas' Nikita Mazepin heading out onto the track.
Lewis Hamilton is coming out on track with 10 minutes of the session completed.
Just a couple of installation laps for Vettel. Alpine's Fernando Alonso joins the action on the softs.
Vettel, on the medium tyres, posts a 1m57.654s to kick us off.
There is a big crowd gathered for today's action which is encouraging.
Friday's best benchmark was Bottas in FP1. The Finn posted a 1m34.874s effort.
