Anyway, Friday's fastest driver Bottas takes to the track on his own. The Finn hasn't claimed pole position since the second Silverstone race and will know P1 can be his only target in qualifying later this afternoon.
All members of that six complete just an installation lap and duly return to the pits. Maybe they were practicing the new COVID-19 rules of having no more than six in one group together.

The Haas, McLaren and AlphaTauri drivers are not hanging about in the garages today as those six head out on track straight away. Everyone else is taking a more leisurely start to FP3.

It is another beautiful and sunny day at Mugello nestled in the Tuscan hills, with no chance of rain and air temperatures already at 27oC plus track temperatures at 40oC.

Last night Perez was handed a one-place grid penalty for the Tuscan GP for his actions in the collision with Raikkonen in FP2.
To quickly recap yesterday's practice action, Bottas topped both practice sessions, leading a Mercedes 1-2 in FP2 ahead of team-mate Hamilton in a session red-flagged twice due to crashes for Norris and a clash between Perez and Raikkonen.
