After being anonymous so far, Vettel surges up to top spot on his soft tyres! That's a 1m19.234s!
That Vettel time is about 2s faster than his harder tyre run, suggesting there's a big difference between the compounds here.
The Mercedes driver crosses the line with a 1m18.808s to go nearly half a second faster and reclaim top spot.
Vettel is another one to report possible front wing damage after striking the kerbs. Is this going to be a common theme this weekend?
Stroll now climbs up to third on his soft tyres but is half a second slower than team-mate Vettel.
Bottas now puts in his flying effort and goes just 0.03s slower than Hamilton. It's a Mercedes power 1-2-3-4 at the moment.
Verstappen improves slightly to go fifth, but he's stuck with the hard tyres for his latest run.
Gasly is the latest to shoot up the leaderboard on the softs, as he goes third, only a quarter of a second behind the two Mercedes drivers.
There's plenty of flow-vis paint on Norris' McLaren as the team is trying out new parts for this weekend. Norris is currently 12th, while Ricciardo is down in 18th.
Hamilton improves slightly on his latest lap, he moves to a 1m18.627s, to extend his gap over Bottas to two tenths.
And Norris shoots up to third! He's only three tenths off Hamilton's new fastest time. Over to Ricciardo now to see what he can do.
Bottas now goes top. He's 0.123s faster than Hamilton as the times continue to fall.
As for Ricciardo, he shoots up to eighth. But that is still eight tenths down on his team-mate, clearly the Aussie is still not quite comfortable in his new surroundings.
Ferrari has flown under the radar in this session so far and that's because Sainz and Leclerc have yet to venture out on soft tyres. They're 14th and 17th at the minute.
We have a red flag! And it's Kubica who has gone off and is stuck in the gravel.
Replays show Kubica just lost the rear mid-way through the new Turn 10 sequence and got beached in the gravel.
At least, from Raikkonen's point of view, Kubica hasn't hit the barriers but it's still a disappointing loss of track time for Alfa due its stand-in's error.
The session will restart in two minutes, according to race control.
And we're green once more with just over nine minutes remaining in the session.
Perez leads the field back out on track with some Astons and Mercedes in the queue behind. Not that it's easy to tell those cars apart.
Perez has now got the guesting Nissany tucked right on his gearbox as he begins his first flying lap after the restart.
Before Perez and the Ferraris improve, it's worth noting that Latifi is up in 12th place.
Perez does go sixth with his latest effort but is still nearly a second slower than Bottas.
It will be interesting to see the comparison to Verstappen, who is now running the soft tyres for the first time. He goes green in the first sector.
Well, we'll have to wait for that as Verstappen backs out of the lap, as the Ferraris go up to fourth and fifth on the mediums.
Those times for the Ferraris are impressive as they're only half a second behind the Mercedes drivers, who used softs while the scarlet cars were on hards.
Verstappen does now get a clean lap and splits the Mercedes. Game on!
Bottas has to take to the grass to avoid a Ferrari in the chicane's braking zone. Looks like that was Leclerc, who was completely oblivious to what was happening behind.
Perez furiously raises his hand as Ricciardo's McLaren is the latest to be guilty of getting in the way.
And the chequered flag is out. Will there be any late improvements?
The answer to that is no. So it's Bottas, from Verstappen, Hamilton, Norris and Leclerc at the end of FP1.
Some notable gaps between team-mates in that session, although there were some differing strategies. Perez was eight tenths behind Verstappen, while Ricciardo was the same gap behind Norris.
It wasn't a great FP1 for the guesting Kubica, who spun out towards the end. He finishes up 19th, only a tenth ahead of Mazepin. Nissany was more impressive, taking 17th, fractionally ahead of Schumacher.
That's it from us for now, but we'll be back in around two hours' time for full coverage of FP2. See you then.
Hello everyone - and we're back for FP2 ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix!
