The Amazon strategy graphic suggests Antonelli would come out behind Hamilton if he pitted right now, but these 'insights' are generally as much use as a cocktail umbrella in a monsoon.
Hamilton passes Lawson at Turn 14 on lap 20.
Even so, Antonelli's lap was faster than Leclerc but slower than Verstappen.
Antonelli sets his fastest lap of the race once uncorked from behind the Ferrari. 1m37.395s. But it looks like it's been deleted because of that track-limits strike.
Norris grassing up Antonelli for track limits at Turn 1.
Scrubbed softs for Hamilton, and he feeds out between Lawson and Hulkenberg in P7.
Hamilton pits at the end of lap 18. Two-stopper in the works?
It's becoming something of a theme this season, the soft tyre periodically being a better than expected race tyre. For this weekend it's the C5, the softest in the range.
"For Plan C we need to pick up the pace," Hamilton is told. He replies that his grip is dropping off. "In that case, Plan B."
So Lewis wasn't managing after all.
Hadjar now P15, by the way, with Colapinto 2s ahead.
Well, at the moment this race could have been an e-mail.
Behind Lawson, there's a 2.7s gap to Hulkenberg, who has Gasly and Bearman in his wake. Then a three-second gap to Ocon. Russell is four seconds behind him - for now!
Audi reports a "suspected gearbox issue" for Bortoleto.
There's now a gap of 13s between Piastri in P6 and Lawson in P7. This is the gap the frontrunners will be wanting to pit into when the time comes.
Lap 13 and Russell passes Sainz for P12.
"Do you remember the discussion we had in the strategy meeting?" Will Joseph asks Norris. "Do you still agree your idea was best?"
Always good to make sure your driver was paying attention in the meeting, no?
Hamilton can afford to manage his tyres and temperatures because he started on mediums and can theoretically go longer into the race without stopping. But he's got Antonelli, Norris and Piastri very close behind.
"I think Plan C, and opposite to Red Bull" says Leclerc, continuing Ferrari's policy of exploring the outer reaches of the alphabet.
So as we begin lap12, Verstappen leads Leclerc by 1.2s with Hamilton 3s in arrears. Looking like tyre and temperature management for Hamilton.
Sainz has been 'noted' for leaving the track and gaining an advantage at Turn 1 at the start.
The pit entry is closed - Bortoleto's car is stuck, and currently being dosed in fire retardant.
We've gone green again even though the GPS is showing Bortoleto's car still at the pit exit.
Yes, it was tight for the leading group in terms of when the VSC was called, but there really wasn't a big enough gap to the rest of the pack to risk an early stop at this stage.
The top six haven't pitted.
Yes, there's a VSC on lap 8.
Bortoleto's Audi comes to a halt by the pit exit.
Ocon has got back past Sainz for P11.
Replays of the start show Sainz sending it around the outside of Lindblad into Turn 1. Arvid then complained that if he hadn't backed off, a shunt would have ensued.
While we were looking at that, Russell bagged Colapinto for P14 on lap 6.
Bottas now falling off the back of the field at a rate of a second a lap to his Cadillac team-mate Perez, who is currently P18. Hadjar and both Aston Martins have got by Valtteri.
Russell now P15, having made his way past Bottas, Perez, Bortoleto and Albon. Franco Colapinto next...
Lewis Hamilton has the fastest lap so far, 1m38.435s, but that top three is very much lapping in a cluster. Antonelli also tucked right up behind Hamilton, with Norris and Piastri in close attendance.
Then there's a gap of three seconds to Liam Lawson in P7. The Racing Bulls is leading Hulkenberg and Gasly, then there's a three-second gap to Bearman.
Sainz is 1.5s behind him now, having just passed Ocon (lap 5).
Phew! Bearman sends it at Turn 5 on lap 3 but makes it through unscathed.
Nervous moments on the Haas pitwall through the second lap as Bearman challenges Ocon for P11.
Russell up to P17 already.
Well, this is like a chart rundown from a vintage episode of Top of the Pops. What we need is Yellow Pearl by Phil Lynott as background music while Peter Powell does dad dancing on set.
Down four in P13 is Arvid Lindblad.
Sainz also getting a move on, up three places to number 10.
Gasly has lost two places, falling behind Lawson and Hulklenberg - the Audi having made up two places on lap one.
AND WE'RE OFF!
Leclerc goes for the inside line at Turn 1, Verstappen runs him into the pit entry, and Charles gives way.
Piastri has a look at Norris later around the lap but thinks the better of it.
