Tsunoda and Gasly both returned to the pitlane after the incident and have retired from the grand prix.

The struggles of that second Red Bull car continues...

It didn't take long for a collision, as just moments after Verstappen used the run-off at the Turn 1-2 chicane, Tsunoda and Gasly tangled further back.

The Red Bull driver tagged Gasly's rear left tyre at Turn 1.

The 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix starts!

Verstappen has kept his lead, but he went off at Turn 2 to avoid a collision with Piastri.

Championship standings

Norris leads the championship by three points ahead of Piastri, while third-placed Verstappen is eight points off top.

Will that order change come the chequered flag?

The formation tour is underway for this 50-lap grand prix.

Tyre information

Most of the grid will start on the medium rubber, yet four drivers are going for hards including Norris!

Isack Hadjar, Nico Hulkenberg and Lance Stroll are the others on the hard compound.
