Both Racing Points have joined the action now, along with Norris and Magnussen.
Raikkonen's first effort on the hard tyre puts him top of the pile with a 56.082s lap.
Raikkonen has headed out on the hard tyre, with Giovinazzi on the medium compound.
Antonio Giovinazzi has joined his Alfa team-mate out on track now. McLaren's Carlos Sainz has also ventured out.
Fittipaldi is so far the only driver on track and has gone quicker with a 56.949s.
Lap times were, of course, pretty rapid in FP1. I did a bit of maths in the break between sessions and discovered the drivers will be able to complete 22.6 laps of this Outer Loop in the same time it takes to listen to Rush's epic 2112, if we take Russell's 54.546s as the benchmark average.
Fittipaldi sets a lap of 57.855s to set the early pace.
Track limits have been tightened up after FP1 at Turn 8.
Air temperature for FP2 is 24 degrees Celsius, while track temperature is at 26 degrees. A light 6.8km/h wind will greet the drivers this evening.
Just five minutes until FP2 gets going. Been a while since I've done one of these. The whole machines with four wheels thing will take me a few laps to get used to!
In case you've missed anything, we have three changes on the grid to be aware of. As mentioned, we have Russell at Mercedes. In his place at Williams is Jack Aitken, while Haas is fielding Pietro Fittipaldi in place of the injured Romain Grosjean.
Mercedes stand-in George Russell made an excellent start to his weekend subbing for the ill Lewis Hamilton, topping FP1 with a 54.546s lap.
The second 90-minute session of the day is due to go green in 10 minutes.
Good evening and welcome to live coverage from FP2 for the Sakhir Grand Prix on Bahrain's Outer Loop.
...and the bottom 10: Stroll, Perez, Sainz, Raikkonen, Giovinazzi, Norris, Magnussen, Latifi, Fittipaldi, Aitken.
Here's that final top 10 order: Russell, Verstappen, Albon, Bottas, Kvyat, Gasly, Ocon, Vettel, Ricciardo, Leclerc.
And that's FP1 over! Barring any faster times, which doesn't look forthcoming, it's George Russell on top of the times! Not a bad way to start the weekend.
No changes to the order in this final few minutes - the timing screen remains rather grey at this point of the day.
The midfield battle is shaping up nicely at the moment. We've got the AlphaTauris in fifth and sixth, then Renault, Ferrari, Renault, Ferrari, the Racing Points and a McLaren.
There's a bit of work being done to Sainz's car, as he's got a little bit of bodywork damage after riding the bumps.
We've under 20 minutes remaining of this FP1 session. Russell reports that his seat is digging into his shoulders a bit, so Mercedes will try and get him a bit more comfortable.
Albon's had a spin on the exit of turn 2, while Bottas went clean off at that corner a little bit earlier. Albon just grabbed the throttle too early there.
Verstappen goes P2, after going well wide on the exit of turn 8.
Russell's back on top, a 54.546s to go fastest once again.
Albon goes top with a 54.811 - 0.03s clear of Verstappen. Bottas is up to P3.
Leclerc went into the run-off at turn 8, having encountered a slow Vettel at the middle part of the lap. He's not had the tidiest session in the world.
Kvyat now goes up to P2, with a 55.011s and looking pretty swift at this stage of the weekend.
