There is a lot to keep up with here - we're doing our absolute best to keep you alert of stuff, but sorry if we miss anything!
Leclerc's released his pursuit of Stroll, and is now under fire from Bottas. Stroll's got free reign to go after Grosjean now.
This has worked out fantastically for Haas, both stopping and now sit third and fourth! We mocked the wets, but they've timed that slick switch fantastically well.
Latifi spun at Turn 1 having exited the pits on dry tyres and he has a puncture. Everyone has pitted and are now on dry tyres.
Vettel had an awful stop, completely stuck in his box waiting for traffic to move.
Stroll came out behind Grosjean, which is a rather rubbish place to emerge out on track. Leclerc's right behind him too.
Raikkonen is under investigation for starting out of position on the grid. He started from last place.
Hamilton also pitted from the lead, letting Verstappen take the reins.
Leclerc and Bottas pitted at the end of Lap 2 to the switch over to dry tyres so it looks like the pit window is already here.
Verstappen's looking lively - Stroll doesn't let him through, but pits instead.
A 1m31.458s for Hamilton, there. First hot one of the day.
Bottas seemed to jump the start, edging forward before the lights.
Both Haas drivers pitted before the start of the race to change tyres, with Kvyat joining them at the end of lap one. The AlphaTauri driver is on the softs so he'll be the one to watch for the rest of the teams.
Hamilton completes the first lap, 3s clear of Stroll, who's a second ahead of Verstappen.
Immediately, cars going off-line in search of wet patches. Those inters might soon become slicks.
Hamilton surges out into an early lead, as Bottas gets bogged down and Stroll takes second! Verstappen immediately powers into P3, ahead of Vettel and Leclerc.
Stunning start by Verstappen to get up to third place out of the first corner! Considering he almost didn't start this race that is incredible!
"Can I box for slicks before the start?", Kvyat enquires.
The drivers wind their way to their starting berths on the grid...
How Verstappen's car is going to handle is another matter entirely, but we'll see! How Magnussen's car is going to handle is also going to be curious, given he's on the full wet...
Verstappen thanks his engineers for the swift repair job.
Apologies if this has been a muddled pre-amble, I planned to lament Yeovil's play-off win and suddenly we've got a hobbled Red Bull to talk about. Maybe that's for the best...
All cars on inters bar Magnussen, apparently on full wets according to our timing screens. That's...bold?
Reports that Red Bull have fixed Verstappen's front suspension and have him ready for the race. Mighty, mighty work from the engineers.
In OTHER NEWS, because that does exist, we have an air temp of 21.3 degrees C, and track is 27.7 C. So if there's no more rain, it'll begin to dry relatively swiftly...
Red Bull might have got just, JUST, got Verstappen's car together here...
With the wet conditions, this is going to be a real endurance for the drivers - which is what we like to see. 70 laps of mixed weather and the threat of more rain. We hope you're Hungary for some action.
As you can imagine, Verstappen has a face like thunder at the moment. This is a race against time to get him ready.
Verstappen had locked the left front approaching T12, then lost the rear well away from the apex and slide - both fronts locked into the barrier. Both rears locked too.
Red Bull will try and repair Verstappen's car, but the team has 15 minutes to do it.
Verstappen has broken his front suspension, front wing - that might be the end before it's even begun!
Another update: Max Verstappen has crashed on his way to the grid!
Now, here's an update: it is raining. Il pleut. Está lloviendo. Mae'n bwrw glaw.
Currently, there's a MotoGP race on which has got both our editor and our international editor both very excited. We'll have the report from Jerez a bit later, to the disdain of people who think we shouldn't cover bikes...
