Sainz has hit future team-mate and car in his sights as he closes in on Leclerc in 10th place. The Ferrari driver locks up at Turn 1 which invites Sainz to have a closer look but he opts against a bold move.
And on those fresh tyres, Bottas posts a 1m18.435s lap.
Vettel's slowly chipping away at Stroll now - he's 22s behind the Racing Point, but he's just taking out little snippets of time away from him.
Bottas pits! He puts on some hard compound tyres, having had basically a free pitstop over Stroll. So that'll put Verstappen under a bit of pressure...
A bad couple of laps for Haas, as Grosjean is overtaken by Ocon and Norris on consecutive laps. The French driver asks his race engineer if everything is good with his car, and he is told all is OK.
Traffic does rather hinder Bottas there, who loses about a second to Verstappen that time around.
"How far behind is Bottas?" Verstappen asks. "He's right behind you," comes the reply. Things you can say in an F1 race and a horror movie?
Just like that Ricciardo gets ahead of Magnussen at Turn 2 for P8.
And Bottas is within range of Verstappen, but the Dutchman's got the legs on him over this lap so far.
That stint could pay off for Ricciardo later in the race. He is now in P9 but has fresh medium tyres to attack Magnussen and Perez ahead of him.
Bottas is really up with Verstappen now, just a second behind.
Ricciardo pits from fifth, banging on some medium tyres for the last 25 laps.
Hamilton has lapped Leclerc. That kinda sums up Ferrari's year, doesn't it?
Latifi has spun at Turn 5. He avoids the barrier and is able to continue but it marks another bad moment in his afternoon.
It's lap 42. Hamilton is almost 20s clear of Verstappen, but behind those two it's pretty much anything goes at this point.
Sainz the latest to pit having been putting pressure on Ricciardo. The McLaren driver comes out in P11 behind Leclerc.
Magnussen, the last of the drivers to pit in this race, tries to defend P9 from Perez but the pace difference between the two is too great as the Mexican keeps it pinned on the exit of Turn 1 to take the inside line for Turn 2 and get the move done.
Bottas will be in striking distance of Verstappen in five laps, with about 10 difficulties/pass on the scale. It's an SI unit, look it up.
A 1m18.945s lap from Bottas - the Finn is flying out there.
Another fastest lap for Bottas, he's just 7.2s behind Verstappen now having done a 1m19.656s. Wow.
Verstappen also now pits from second, taking on fresh hard boots for the rest of the race.
Bottas did a 1m20.349s on fresh mediums, so it was pretty cut-and-dried that he'd get P3.
Just as we say that, Grosjean pits for Haas having been overtaken by Sainz.
Albon pits, and Stroll also comes in for new slicks to be undercut by Bottas.
Verstappen's got two 10% tyres, according to the graphic, while Hamilton has a 70% left-front. "I can see spots of rain," Hamilton reports.
The Haas drivers are very much running their own race having pitted for dry tyres after the formation lap. Magnussen is fifth and Grosjean is ninth but both are yet to pit (technically) in the race.
That'll give Bottas a shot at undercutting Stroll, then, who doesn't react to that.
Bottas has pitted from fourth, presumably with new information on the rain, to take mediums.
But on the next lap around Leclerc gets the move done through the same corners. Equally impressive, and fair, racing.
This Norris/Leclerc battle is excellent - now THIS is podracing.
Some bold defensive driving by Norris to keep Leclerc behind him through Turns 2 and 3. Impressive racing.
Albon was 0.8s faster on the previous lap than Magnussen, so he's closing in with desires on fifth place.
Vettel pits from P8 just as he catches up to the back of Grosjean. He has also switched to the hard tyres like team-mate Leclerc did - but dark clouds are threatening rain so that move could backfire.
That Red Bull's looking a bit better in race trim, isn't it? Albon's carving through, and Verstappen had that good start to the race.
A 1m21.265s for Hamilton, further extending that now-14s advantage.
Albon has moved ahead of Grosjean at Turn 1 to take sixth place.
Apparently the rain will be here in five minutes or so, and it'll last for about five minutes. We wait with umbrellas poised.
Stroll's still got a slight edge on Bottas as it stands, the Finn drops out of DRS range.
