F1 Dutch GP Live Commentary and Updates - FP1 & FP2

Updates from the Friday practice sessions at Zandvoort for the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix

Track side kerb and gravel

As home favourite Max Verstappen gets ever closer to a second F1 championship crown, the Dutch fans are expected to be out in full force to support his endeavours.

Verstappen won the last race, at Spa-Francorchamps, at an absolute canter despite starting 14th on the grid. Team-mate Sergio Perez completed the Red Bull rout in Belgium with second place, as Carlos Sainz rescued a third place for Ferrari on a day where it struggled.

F1's trip to Zandvoort will be its second in a row after the seaside circuit was reinstated to the calendar last year, having been dropped at the end of 1985. Verstappen won last year's race.

FP1 fans will delighted to know that there's zero risk of rain for this session. So that's good.
The orange is out in full force already, and it's only FP1. It's like the waiting room of a tanning salon out there.
Good morning everyone - F1's back for a second consecutive week and the fun returns at the Zandvoort circuit. We hope you've brought your debit card, because there's lots of banking around the Dutch seaside course.
