Russell wins the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix

George Russell converts pole position into his first victory of 2025! Max Verstappen is second, and Andrea Kimi Antonelli gets his first F1 podium!

Piastri finishes fourth, ahead of Leclerc and Hamilton, as Alonso, Hulkenberg, Ocon, and Sainz complete the top 10 and the pointscorers.

"Oh my god," Antonelli says, as he can scarcely believe his result. "Thank you guys, that was needed!

"A good day," Toto Wolff says to Russell. "A good day, sir," Russell response, jovially (and in a mock aristo accent) as he's delighted to get his fourth F1 win.

An incident between Ocon and Sainz has been noted - someone was deemed to be 'driving erratically'.

Russell: "It's amazing to be back on the top step, the last time was back in Vegas. Last year felt like a victory lost, and then obviously we got the victory today thanks to that incredible pole lap. I'm so happy to see Kimi on the podium as well."

Verstappen: "It was quite a good race, although in the first two stints we were struggling on the tyres, we did quite an aggressive strategy. Luckily in that final stint we managed to hang in there. Actually, the pace was better on the low fuel. We drove an attacking-slash-defending race, but it worked out for us. That was the maximum possible for us today."

Antonelli: "It was so stressful! But super happy, I had a good start, managed to jump into P3, and just stayed up there in the front. Last stint I pushed a bit too hard behind Max and killed the front left, and I struggled a bit at the end. But happy to bring the podium home."

Quite the crowd reaction too, clearly happy to see Antonelli become F1's newest podium finisher.

An enjoyable race - strategic elements, close racing, contact. Just what we expect from Montreal!

And that's it from us - thank you for joining us again, and keep up with all of the reaction from Canada across Autosport and Motorsport.com. We'll see you in two weeks' time for the Austrian GP!
