F1 British GP Live Commentary and Updates – FP3 & Qualifying
Saturday's action from the 12th round of the 2024 Formula 1 season.
F1 returns to the United Kingdom for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, which hosted the very first world championship race back in 1950.
The weekend marks the closing leg of F1's first triple-header of 2024 that took in visits to Barcelona and Spielberg. Max Verstappen and Lando Norris will be back in action for the first time since their Austrian GP clash handed a shock victory to Mercedes driver George Russell.
Norris completed a clean sweep in FP1 and FP2 on Friday, will he continue that form in final practice and qualifying?
FP3 starts at 11:30am BST, followed by qualifying at 3:00pm BST.

There had not been any representative laps set as drivers were looking to discover grip levels around the circuit, but Tsunoda is top with a 1m47.080s. That's 1.2s faster than Leclerc in second.
It's such a clumsy spin on entry to the chicane, it looks like he has snatched a rear brake with low tyre temperatures.
The intermediates don't seem to be working - Leclerc had also been off track again, this time at Club.
A nightmare for Gasly, who has found himself beached in the gravel at Vale.
Red flags.
Verstappen is the first to make a mistake, rotating the car on the exit of Brooklands as he put the throttle down. No harm done though.
Leclerc then runs wide at Copse but continues.
And with Hamilton leaving the pits, all 20 drivers are now running on inters.
That duo isn't alone, with 14 drivers now on track and that number continuing to grow.
The answer is there will be some running straightaway! Haas gets us rolling with Magnussen and Hulkenberg out on intermediates.
The question is how much running will take place here. Rain is set to play a part today and tomorrow, so will teams opt to gather data, or save tyre sets?
So as mentioned earlier, the rain has abated but it is only 11 degrees air temperature at the circuit, which won't help the track come back into its best window.
Dry running is unlikely.
Friday's running may not be the most representative given conditions, but it was very promising for McLaren.
Lando Norris completed a clean sweep by topping both FP1 and FP2.
All the talk last weekend was over track limits, as is traditional in Austria.
But a knee-jerk change in regulations has been ruled out - full story here!
A few stories to pick up on ahead of FP3, starting with news of Adrian Newey's next step...
The weather is not incredible today. Heavy rain led to standing water on the track and the postponement of this morning's F3 sprint race, which will now run at 6pm.
There is no threat of losing FP3 at the moment though.
Hello and welcome to British Grand Prix Saturday.
Qualifying is to come later but first, final practice takes place at Silverstone.
