With each replay of the crash, it underlines how lucky Grosjean has been. The car has gone through the barrier and split in half. The car then burst into flames. Grosjean scrambled out of the wreckage with help from the FIA medical crew.
Grosjean's escape from that crash is absolutely miraculous. An absolute testament to the safety advances of this championship. His car, ripped in half, tore the barrier asunder and burst into flames.
Information
Haas has confirmed Grosjean is OK: "Romain has some minor burns on his hands and ankles but otherwise he is OK. He is with the doctors just now."
TV replays have now been shown of the crash with Grosjean appearing relatively OK having been helped into the ambulance. Grosjean appears to be veering to the right before making contact with Kvyat at the exit of Turn 3, which sends the Haas driver spearing into the barrier.
Grosjean looks very shaken up following that accident. He is helped into an ambulance at the side of the track and he looks to have injured his feet.
Information
Grosjean is out of his Haas car and sitting in the back of the FIA medical car being checked over by the medical crew. That's brilliant to see after such a massive hit.
Norris, who sustained front wing damage in those opening corners, has taken on a new nose.
Grosjean's in the medical car, thankfully. Good news.
Perez had made up good ground at Turn 1, as Bottas dropped down to sixth. But that's all academic at the moment - that was a huge crash down at Turn 3, with Romain Grosjean's car erupting in flames.
Crash
It appears Grosjean hit the barrier hard on the exit of Turn 3 after a clash within the pack. Nasty viewing, hoping the Haas driver is OK after that.
Red flag
What a huge crash, the race has been stopped after three corners.
Lights green
The 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix is away!
The cars are lining up, ready for the start...
Green flag
The formation lap begins under the Bahrain lights.
Are we ready, folks? Let's begin.
Tyre info: everyone's on mediums, except Leclerc, Grosjean and Latifi (hards) and Sainz (soft).
Just under 10 minutes to go - we're at the point where the drivers finish their final bathroom breaks and clamber into their cars. Michael Schumacher used to hog the bathroom to get a psychological advantage - there's gamesmanship!

We have some spectators in the house - Bahrain has allocated seats for the country's healthcare workers and their families.
Sun
20 minutes until we're up and running here. The sun's setting on Bahrain, and that air temperature of 26.1 degrees C will start to drop. Track's currently at 29.3 degrees, but that will most likely fall too.

Let's return to racing - that's why you're all here. We've got a spicy encounter coming up; Bottas is on the 'dirty' side of the grid, Verstappen on the clean side. Albon and Perez will also be looking to pounce.
I don't believe this - Matt Warburton's grabbed a first-minute goal for Yeovil in this crunch game against Stockport! 'mon the Glovers!
Verstappen reporting a strange collection of lights on his dash during his recon lap to the grid. Let's hope the bright bulbs on the pitwall can fix it.
If you caught the F2 race this morning, the tyre wear was (as usual) rather high. Suggestions that a two-stopper might be the order of the day - but we'll see whether that emerges.
Autosport
What do you need to know ahead of the race? Here's our pick of a few stories:
- Hamilton: F1 should consider reintroducing a tyre war
- Leclerc "doesn't have usual level of confidence" in Bahrain
- Drivers' concern over prototype 2021 tyres not just due to performance
- Red Bull's weaknesses can't be fixed until 2021 - Verstappen

As has become customary, the race at the Bahrain circuit will be held under the glare of around 500 floodlights around the track. And, of course, there will be sparks.
Good afternoon everyone - and welcome to the Autosport Live feed for the Bahrain Grand Prix! We've 40 minutes until we get underway, so plenty of time to get a cuppa and settle in.
