Stopwatch
Hulkenberg now throws down the gauntlet with a 1m27.279s on softs.
Stopwatch
Magnussen does our first time, but Grosjean does a 1m28.456s to beat him.
A lock-up for Magnussen at the first corner on his hot lap, which will take a bit of a bite out of the medium-compound tyres.
The timing screen we've got is a little bit confused by the appearance of mediums on track. Hulkenberg's on softs, the Haases are on mediums, and Russell hasn't flashed up yet.
We've got Grosjean, Russell and Hulkenberg all out too.
Green flag
The pitlane is open, and Magnussen gets us underway for Q1.
There's also a 4m/s tailwind down the Hangar Straight, so that'll give the drivers a bit of a push.
We've got a 26.7 degree C air temperature, but the track's at 44 degrees - so it'll turn the red-walled Pirellis into tyre fondue.
Information
F1's theme tune hits the screen - so that's everyone's five minute alarm.
Since the softs are a bit lightweight for these conditions, and the allowance of hard and medium tyres is sparse, this might be one of the weirder qualifying sessions. It'll be a tactical game.
The main story from FP3 was one of tyres, namely, the soft tyres are barely lasting a lap before they lose their peak grip. Getting them to hang on will be a wheel challenge...

In case you thought the Racing Point brake duct saga was over...you were wrong:

15 minutes until we get going! Make sure you're fed, watered and ready to go, because this is going to get very interesting...
Nah, we're kidding. Two windmills are in a field, and one asks "what's your favourite kind of music?" The other replies "I'm a big metal fan"...
We received an email yesterday regarding our jokes and levity in Live yesterday. We'd like to apologise to anyone who felt our coverage was too fun and we will endeavour to be more bland today.
'Twas a familiar story in FP3 earlier. Hamilton topped the session from Bottas, but this time with Lando Norris as the best of the rest. A sterling effort.
In just under half an hour, qualifying at Silverstone will be underway. Join us for all of the action as it happens - we will be your guides as it all unfolds.
Here's the full report on FP3 for the 70th Anniversary GP:

It is now time for the standard two-hour pause before the start of qualifying, which gets underway at Silverstone at 2pm local time. Plenty of time for that DIY job you've been putting off or a quick walk in the sunshine.
Twitter
19 out of the 20 drivers complete practice starts to end the session - except for Verstappen who had already pitted at the end of FP3.
Radio Comms
Vettel, who has completed nine laps on a set of softs, says "there is nothing left of the front-left" over his Ferrari team radio. He isn't wrong, that tyre wouldn't pass an MOT.
Checkered flag
That marks the end of FP3 - Hamilton is fastest from Bottas with Norris in third place.
Ricciardo, free of traffic, can only go P14 but given the life in his soft tyres had been taken up by his first effort that was to be expected.
Missing out on that lap has kept Ricciardo down in P19 but he is going for a second attempt before the end of the session.
Twitter
Ricciardo, who ended FP2 in third place, had been on for a fast lap but gets held up by future McLaren team-mate Norris and has to back out of it.
Stopwatch
Stroll joins the fun at the sharp end of the times to go P4 with a 1m27.263s for Racing Point, but it doesn't last long as Hulkenberg beats him by a tiny fraction with a 1m27.256s to take fourth.
Looking to shake off a difficult British GP, Albon puts in an encouraging lap to go P5 with a 1m27.474s ahead of Ocon and Red Bull team-mate Verstappen.
Stopwatch
The Mercedes pair continue to play trade the fastest lap as Hamilton puts in a 1m26.621s on the softs to regain top spot for the session. That puts him over a tenth quicker than Bottas.
Ocon gets a nod of the head from Renault boss Abiteboul as the French driver slots into P5 with a 1m27.496s.
Stopwatch
McLaren's joy at being top of the times is short lived as Bottas reasserts his Mercedes into P1 with a 1m 26.784s, some four-tenths of a second faster.
Stopwatch
Norris goes fastest on the medium tyres with a 1m27.202s.
Hulkenberg, who would dearly love to be in the race tomorrow after last weekend's cruel DNS, is showing impressive pace for Racing Point in fourth place, within one-tenth of a second of Verstappen.
After his very slow prep laps, Verstappen also improves on his personal best with a 1m27.615s which keeps him in third place behind the Mercedes duo but within four-tenths of a second to find a small gain.
Stopwatch
Hamilton, who pitted after his first soft tyre run, goes fastest with a 1m27.280s on his second run.
Verstappen is currently lapping at a snail's pace - over 3 minutes to be more precise - as he looks to get his soft tyre temperatures under control during a preparation lap.
Stopwatch
Hamilton cannot beat Bottas as he sets a 1m27.526s to slot into P2. Verstappen, also on the softs, goes P3 with a 1m27.702s but lets his Red Bull team know he was disappointed with his first sector split - to put it politely.
Hamilton opts for an extra preparation lap compared to Bottas on the soft tyres, and is pushing for a qualifying sim lap now.
