Sparks always fly when Max Verstappen is around, but he's the only one kicking up flares on the run into Turn 10. Red Bull, as per usual, is absolutely pushing the limits of rake and the titanium panel positioned at the front of the floor plank is rubbing against the ground as a result.
Grosjean heads out for the first time since his intermediate install lap.
Perez heads in after those recent improvements, as Raikkonen gets back out on track.
Ricciardo is consistently three or four tenths off his best time after six timed laps on this stint.
Perez is another driver finding small improvements as he goes, now down to a 1m19.704s as he finds another tenth or so.
Kvyat goes sixth on his first flyer with a time of 1m21.990s.
Kvyat is on the C4 tyre as he heads onto what could be his first proper lap.
Perez improves by 0.120s as well.
Ricciardo's again making gradual improvements, now down to a 1m24.122s.
Until Bottas heads out to begin his 16th lap that is. Which he's just done.
Vettel goes second ahead of Verstappen with a time of 1m18.909s, he's up to 15 laps for the day.
That's the second-highest total behind Verstappen's 23.
That's the second-highest total behind Verstappen's 23.
Ricciardo improves slightly to a 1m25.051s this time around.
Mercedes again does a practice pitstop with Bottas.
Meanwhile, we reckon Ricciardo might be in the early stages of that race simulation. No headline-grabbing pace and on the durable C2s.

Ricciardo is on the leaderboard too now, thanks to his lap of 1m25.961s.
Vettel's improved too, having lapped in 1,19.132s and stays third.

Sainz goes fastest. It's a 1m18.878s for the McLaren man.

Alfa Romeo has broken out the flow-viz paint, hoping to see how the front end behaves aerodynamically on the run up to the bargeboards. The flow seems to be staying nicely attached on the underside of the nose, and the tapered-in section behind the bargeboards is sending airflow downwards towards the top of the floor.
Ricciardo has gone past us on the C2s.
He is in the second sector too. Another McLaren glory run in the offing?
Sainz is purple in the first sector.
Kvyat is also out to add to his tally of four laps.
Ricciardo does a practice start before going out, and Bottas has come in to jump back onto the C2s.
Perez and Vettel head out on track.
Bottas repeats the trick this time around and Mercedes put him on a set of C4s at this pitstop.
Sainz improves to 1m19.071s, 0.253s off Verstappen's leading time.
Bottas returns to the pits after just one lap and Mercedes does a pitstop and put him onto what looks like used C2 tyres.
Kubica finds a good chunk of time on his first proper lap, improving to 1m42.611s and staying sixth - last of those to produce a proper time so far.
Bottas returns the Mercedes to the track for what should be his second stint.
Kubica is on the C4 tyre as Sainz powers by for his first timed lap of 1m19.825s.
That time is good enough for second at the moment.
That time is good enough for second at the moment.
Sainz is on the C3 as he completes his out lap.
Kubica is back out for Williams, it's been short, sharp runs for his team so far and it has been using the aero rakes.
Verstappen's laps at the minute are a good 2.5s off his best time, so this certainly isn't a performance run at the moment.
Sainz heads out in the McLaren.

Vettel is also in as Verstappen completes his 15th lap.
Ricciardo's in after just one lap, so it isn't the race run yet, and is running on the unmarked tyre Pirelli has brought to the test.
The Renault is now back in the garage.

Raikkonen comes in to end this early stint and has a total of six laps to his name so far.
Verstappen headed straight back out in the meantime.
Ricciardo is heading out, we'll keep an eye out to see if this is the race simulation run or not.
