And Leclerc improves again to a 1m19.032s, which keeps him fourth for now.
Another new fastest first and second sector from Hamilton. Mercedes appears to have cranked things up a notch here.
With an hour gone, here’s the latest lap count:
Hulkenberg, 20Albon, 19Magnussen, 19Hamilton, 14Giovinazzi, 13Russell, 9Stroll, 9Gasly, 8Leclerc, 7Norris, 6
Hamilton doesn't disappoint over the line, setting a new fastest time of all of 1m18.097s.
Giovinazzi has also improved to a 1m18.923s in third as Stroll goes fourth, 0.035s further back.
For reference, Hamilton's fastest time in the first test was a 1m17.977s - but he set that on the C4 tyre. Impressive stuff from the Mercedes driver.
Norris was out briefly on the C5s but has come back in, as has Russell. Those two are still yet to set a timed lap, as is Gasly.
Albon, now on the C3 tyre, sets personal bests in the first and second sectors. It's just him, Giovinazzi and Gasly on track now.
Albon improves on his personal best by a tenth to set a 1m18.435s. He stays second.
Gasly goes over the line on a set of unmarked tyres. Will we see a timed lap from the Red Bull here?
Giovinazzi heads back in, leaving just the Red Bull junior and senior teams out on track.
Gasly does indeed look like he's going for a timed lap here. He sets personal bests in the first two sectors.
The Red Bull driver's final sector is also a new best time of all, which helps him rocket straight up to third on a 1m18.524s.
Albon puts a bit more breathing space between himself and Gasly by improving to a 1m18.345s. He's on the C3s for this run.
Albon heads in and comes to a halt in the Toro Rosso pitbox, leaving only Gasly - who's on for another improvement here - out on track.
Gasly's final sector isn't his fastest of all, but two personal bests in the first two sectors help him shave 0.071s off his best on his latest flying lap.
Gasly brings the Red Bull back in, and has a new front wing fitted before heading back out on the same set of unmarked tyres.
Magnussen joins the Red Bull on track after a practice start at the pit exit.
We spy a Ferrari heading down the pitlane, too. Leclerc heads out for another run.
Magnussen is on C2s, while Leclerc has a set of C3s on before heading back to the Ferrari garage.
Magnussen improves his time but not his position. He's down to a 1m19.130s and stays seventh.

Gasly appears to be back in the rhythm of one hot lap, one cool down lap. But his latest 'hot' lap is a 1m19.618s.
Ferrari has offered an update on Vettel's crash yesterday afternoon, which it says was caused by a rim issue. It reckons the rim was damaged "a few seconds before by an impact with a foreign object".
Magnussen heads back to the pits for Haas, but Hulkenberg and Norris have since joined Hamilton out on track.
Hamilton isn't threatening his current fastest time of all on this run, but is lapping in the 1m19/20s. It'll be interesting to see how long this stint lasts.
Norris finally looks set to record a first timed effort of the day.
The McLaren's first lap is a 1m19.534s on the unmarked Pirelli compound.
Leclerc jumps up to second now with a 1m18.344s effort on the C3 tyre, but is bumped back down by Hulkenberg - whose 1m18.229s effort on the C4s leaves him a tenth and a bit shy of Hamilton.
Leclerc sets a new personal best in sector one on his latest lap, but falls short of bettering his time by a tenth and a half come the end of the lap.
Stroll, on the C2 tyre, sets his best sector one and two times so far today.
Hulkenberg is in after that run, but Giovinazzi heads back out in the Alfa.
