Barcelona F1 test two day three

Russell's gone past our window running some C3 tyres.
Bottas is out and is on the shiny C3s.
Stroll comes across the line at a casual pace on a set of C3s too. Three in a row.
Stroll's first lap is a 1m25.550s as Racing Point clears 40 laps.

That team hasn't really got the mileage it would have liked in testing so far this year.
Bottas comes in after his install lap, so no time on the board just yet.
And Bottas is straight back out again.
Stroll improves a bit on his last lap, it's a 1m24.430s.
Bottas completes his outlap.
Russell hits a 1m25.272s lap early in this stint.
Bottas clocks his first timed lap of the day in 1m22.883s.

After the morning's performance runs for most teams, it means he's propping up the time sheets.
Stroll continues to lap in the 1m24s range as Bottas sets a better second sector for himself this time around.
Bottas ends up over half a second slower than his first timed lap in the end, particularly slower last sector.
Russell is consistently lapping about eight tenths slower than Stroll is on the same compound, early on.

Tough to say what their programmes are, and the level of fuel onboard, is at this stage of the afternoon.
Bottas completes his third lap in the mid-1m23s.
Three cars on track and we're not exactly hearing a hive of activity below in the pits.
Another 1m23s lap for Bottas, this time a 1m23.133s. That's his fifth lap on this stint, so he looks in for a long run.
Stroll isn't though, because he's pitted.
Good consistency from Bottas, his next lap is a 1m23.265s as Russell continues to lap in the 1m25s on the C3s.
Russell's nudging the higher ends of the 1m25s now, lapping in 1m25.883s on his sixth lap.
Just Bottas and Russell on track, so fairly quiet right now.
Russell's now hit a 1m26.585s, Bottas still in the mid-1m23s.
Bottas is already up to 10 laps for the afternoon.
Russell's latest is a 1m27.404s. An anomaly perhaps or quite a bit of drop-off?
Russell comes in, so we won't know the answer to that last question.
Bottas's latest is 1m23.788s on his 10th lap of the stint. Nudging towards the 1m24s but doing so gradually.

We remarked that Hamilton's long run pace this morning looked strong too.
And there we are, into the 1m24s. Bottas laps in 1m24.058s.
We're also preparing to count Hamilton fanbase's flags if the track is empty again. Watch this space.
No need! Leclerc has joined the party.
Now a 1m24.139s for Bottas as Leclerc exits the pitlane.
Leclerc's install lap over, he's also joined the C3 club.

He's headed straight back out again.
Bottas still consistent as ever, now it's a 1m24.164 on what we make to be his 14th lap on the C3s.
Leclerc is back in the pits again as Stroll heads on out.
We know there's not a huge amount going on out there, but watching Bottas lapping closely is giving good insight into the Mercedes long runs.

The time loss per laps is tiny once again as Bottas tours in 1m24.244s.

Slight reversal on Bottas's times, he's gained a little this time. It's a 1m24.042s heading onto his 18th lap, the 16th of the stint.
Stroll's on the C3s, the tyre of choice on Thursday afternoon at Barcelona.
Gasly comes out and breaks the mould by going out on C4s. What a maverick.
Bottas has again found time, 1m23.967s this time around.
We have our first sighting of Ricciardo today too, as he's heading out for Renault.
