The session has resumed. Alonso's McLaren is safely removed and the green flags fly.
The photo currently below in our Live feed is, obviously, Denny Hulme in action in Monaco in 1969. Fever.
Looks like the McLaren is on the back of the truck and on its way back to the pits.
Let's remember a better time for papaya McLarens. Our first 'favourite McPapaya' is the M7A, recommended by Alex Garcia on Twitter. Let us know your favourites! Photo: LAT

Marshals are furiously trying to clean up the track on the run down to Turn 7. Looks like the McLaren has repeated its Wednesday trick of throwing down fluid, although it's more in the middle of the track this time.
Alonso's out of the McLaren, which is parked down the escape road on the right-hand side of the track just before the fast Turn 7, uphill left-hander in the middle sector. The picture you see below, via circuit CCTV, is looking back at the track.

All the other cars are safely back in the pits. Alonso has come to a stop exactly where he did on Wednesday...
The McLaren has come to a halt at Turn 7...seconds after posting the fastest first sector of the morning so far.

Another best first sector from Ocon who improves a fraction to 1m20.715s.
Sirotkin posts a personal best 1m21.901s on his first lap of this new run.
Ocon and Leclerc, lapping just a couple of seconds apart, improve again. They are third and fourth respectively on 1m20.759s and 1m21.050s.
Ocon up to third now on a 1m21.050s as Leclerc improves again to a 1m21.274s.
Modest improvement from Hartley, who gets down to a 1m21.074s. Third-fastest.

Grosjean brings that run to an end. He's fastest at the moment and the busiest driver of the opening 45 minutes, with 19 laps to his name.
Grosjean doesn't complete the lap at his first-sector pace and ends up a tenth slower.
Good news for these retro-flag-carrying fans in the grandstand this morning - Alonso DID win the 2006 world championship (Sutton Images)

Sirotkin back in the pits as Grosjean sets the fastest first sector so far.
Ocon posts his first time of the day, using what we think are supersoft tyres. Didn't get a good look. He's on the board with a 1m25.288s.

Sainz heading out in the Renault, which has aero sensors behind the front wheels, so we've now seen all 10 cars .
Grosjean jumps to the top of the times on this soft tyre run. He posts a 1m20.351s.
Sirotkin, on ultrasofts, improves to a 1m23.239s and jumps Leclerc.
Sirotkin in the board with a 1m31.068s. Being 10.5s off the pace is probably not representative, although the young Russian has plenty of critics who will probably try to claim it is.
My goodness, we forgot to update you on the weather! It's chilly, but bright – warmer than yesterday too. Air temperature is 9.8C and track temperature 26.1C.
