Barcelona F1 test day two

Live Text

Magnussen heads back out, having lost his previous attempt at a first proper run of the day spoiled by a trip through the gravel on his out lap.
Vettel improves to a 1m26.970s next time through. Still eighth.
Sirotkin moves back ahead of Ocon, who can't take third back from him this time from the garage.
Vettel is back out on mediums, improving to a 1m28.510s. Of the people to have set a time today, he is the slowest.
Sirotkin closes that gap to Ocon down to 0.3s, and the Force India pits.
The improvements keep on coming for Ocon, who moves 0.6s clear of Sirotkin now.
Ocon and Sirotkin both continue to improve, and are separated by just a tenth at the moment in the scrap for third. Vandoorne, the current pacesetter, continues to circulate having swapped his hypersofts for ultrasofts.
Verstappen and Red Bull have been conspicuously absent in recent hours. There have been suggestions of problems that need fixing, and that seems highly likely, though the team says Verstappen will be back out as soon as he's finished an early lunchbreak.
Gasly has had enough of that tussle for third, and he comes back into the pits with 25 laps on the board for Toro Rosso-Honda.
Third place now belongs to Sirotkin, but not for long - Ocon takes it straight back.
Gasly doesn't like that, so he goes back to third ahead of Ocon and Sirotkin. All three are busy at the moment - we're trying to keep up.
A story outside F1, but very much F1 related - former Honda and Super Aguri F1 racer Anthony Davidson is the man who's had to make way from Toyota's World Endurance Championship for Fernando Alonso. He's been talking to Autosport's GARY WATKINS about his hopes for coming off the bench later in 2018:

Ocon moves up to fourth briefly, but Gasly takes it straight back. Sirotkin is up to sixth behind them.
Gasly moves up to fourth with a 1m25.578s. He had quite a few improvements before that, but we weren't documenting all of them as they weren't affecting his position in the order. Sirotkin and Ocon continue to improve, too.
Sirotkin and Ocon get in on the act now too. 1m33.8s on softs for the Williams, and a 1m29.749s for the Force India, also on softs.
Bottas caught our eye with a fastest first sector, personal best second sector, but in the end he fell 0.035s short of improving.
Lap count with just over three hours gone:

Bottas 31
Leclerc 22
Sirotkin 19
Vandoorne 16
Gasly 15
Vettel 14
Sainz 8
Ocon 7
Magnussen 2
Verstappen 1
Bottas has got some heat into his softs now and he improves his best time to a 1m20.664s.

Leclerc and Gasly both improve again, still fourth and fifth in the order.
Bottas is already down to 1m23s, which is faster than anyone other than he and Vandoorne has managed today.
Slight improvement for Gasly on his 13th lap. He's 13.7s down on Vandoorne's time, but right now we're just grateful to have some cars circulating in these cold conditions that proved so off-putting all morning.
Softs for Bottas, who opens this run with a 1m28.3s. He's either carrying a bit more fuel now, or waiting for the tyres to warm up. Could be both.
Gasly whistles by with a slight improvement in sixth, while Leclerc improves to a 1m28.4s in the Sauber dressed as an Alfa Romeo.
More improvements for Leclerc and Vettel, who remain fourth and fifth in the order.
Bottas heads back out. Finally we have a bit going on out there to talk about! Sirotkin is next to join in, we're yet to see a representative time from him this week.
Leclerc dips under 1m30s with a 1m29.5s, and Vettel also improves with a 1m36.0s.
This time Gasly splits Leclerc and Vettel, moving up to fifth.
Leclerc improves again, although it's only a 1m31.2s so he's still 10.9s down on Vandoorne's benchmark.
Gasly improves slightly as well, but he remains sixth behind Ferrari's present and future.
