Barcelona F1 test day four

Just over a tenth shy of beating his personal best that time around, Gasly backs off. Presumably he'll have another crack at that PB.
It's a personal best first sector for Gasly. He may well eclipse his best time so far today here.
Six laps into his run, Giovinazzi is down in the 1m25s. It looks like the tyres are toast. Well, not literally...
Pierre Gasly is out in the Red Bull-Honda, complete with C3 tyres attached.
Giovinazzi has a really wide line through Turn 3. It's nice to see drivers experimenting with lines in testing.
Giovinazzi is regularly in the 1m24s on these C3 tyres, meaning he's not trying to set any representative rapid laps.

His best is a 1m18.511s.
As the tweet below says, George Russell is in the Williams this afternoon. But he's wearing a jacket and chatting to his trainer, Alex, in the pits. Probably not going to see him in the car for a little while.
Giovinazzi is the first car to hit the track, in the Alfa Romeo.
As it stands, Toro Rosso has the two fastest times of the test so far. Can anyone unseat the Honda-powered squad in the final afternoon of action?
Two minutes until the green flag. There are engines firing in the pitlane.
Don't expect the first 10 minutes of the test to be busy as some of the teams will be preparing the cars and feeding its drivers. But the warmer weather could mean a few teams will run earlier.
We're expecting to see the following drivers taking over afternoon running:

Bottas (Mercedes)
Magnussen (Haas)
Hulkenberg (Renault)
Russell (Williams)

We'll update that if any of the teams send a different driver out.
Not long until we're back underway in Barcelona.

We could well have the best conditions of the test to conclude it, with air temperature at 25 degrees centigrade, and the track temperature around 28 degrees centigrade.
Mercedes has started to show its cards today and hopes are high that Red Bull and Ferrari can challenge it for the 2019 titles.

But how do the three car designs match up?

While Williams says the team isn't in crisis, our experts have had their say on the F1 team's delayed start to testing and the road ahead

And here are the number of laps completed by each team:

Leclerc - 75
Grosjean - 64
Hamilton - 58
Giovinazzi - 56
Gasly - 52
Kubica - 48
Norris - 48
Albon - 44
Stroll - 41
Ricciardo - 34
Here is the leaderboard from the Wednesday morning session:

1 Albon (Toro Rosso) 1m17.637s
2 Ricciardo (Renault) 1m17.785s
3 Hamilton (Mercedes) 1m17.977s
4 Leclerc (Ferrari) 1m18.046s
5 Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) 1m18.511s
6 Grosjean (Haas) 1m18.563s
7 Gasly (Red Bull) 1m19.495s
8 Norris (McLaren) 1m19.543s
9 Stroll (Racing Point) 1m20.026s
10 Kubica (Williams) 1m21.542s
Chequered flag waves for Hamilton who stays out for a final tour.
Norris pits after another practice start. Hamilton runs on with less than a minute to go.

His first sector says he won't improve on his lap.
Leclerc pits, leaving Norris and Hamilton on track. Both are on C3 tyres.
Hamilton's 1m22.139s is his first proper lap on the C3 tyre.

Less than five minutes to go.
Norris pits after the briefest of runs on the C3 tyre. He's doing a practice start so will head back out.
