Vettel has pulled over a second clear of Hamilton already, and both the Ferraris are catching leader Verstappen with 30 laps left.
Ocon is having a quietly impressive race - he's up to seventh, 10.7s behind Grosjean.
"I've got a blister too," Hamilton now tells Mercedes. And he's got the newest softs of the top four.
Order: 1 Verstappen; 2 Raikkonen +7.1s; 3 Vettel +9.4s; 4 Hamilton +10.8s; 5 Ricciardo +30.0s
But while Mercedes is reassuring Hamilton, he's being overtaken by his title rival on older tyres...
"I have thrown away the win today," Vowles tells Hamilton again. "You have the pace to get back through. We trust and believe in you."
Ricciardo has taken on supersofts and rejoined fifth, 19s behind Hamilton.
Vettel attacked out of Turn 1, Hamilton tried to squeeze him but Vettel kept his car in there and surged through to third. Brilliant move.
If tyre degradation does become the standout feature of this race, it's worth noting that several Formula 2 drivers reported higher than expected tyre wear in their support races on Saturday and earlier today.
"I don't get it guys," says Hamilton. "I'm not going to be able to pass these guys. We've just thrown away a win."
Nothing Ricciardo can do on the next straight though, as Raikkonen cruises past to take second before Turn 4.
Raikkonen closes in on Ricciardo again as they approach traffic. Verstappen's lead is up to 6.9s.
But Alonso will certainly be pleased to pass Stroll for P14 on the run to Turn 4.
Raikkonen has a go at Ricciardo down the outside into Turn 4, without success.
Hamilton has suddenly fallen 1.5s away from Raikkonen's tail. Vettel is within DRS range of Hamilton...
Replays show Sainz had to wait in the pitlane for his right-front tyre to be fitted properly.
Sainz emerges in 17th - and he's now gone onto the supersoft tyres.
There's now just 3.3s covering Ricciardo, Raikkonen, Hamilton and Vettel in second to fifth.
Now Perez has demoted Sainz to 10th - the Force India driver got by down the inside of Turn 3.
Slow-motion replays show the extent of those blisters on the left rear of Ricciardo's car. That doesn't look like a tyre that wants to do 36 more laps.
Alonso is again in danger of being lapped - and we're only just at the halfway point of this 71-lap race.
"Left rear's got a big band round the middle" - Ricciardo's well aware of his tyre worry.
"The Red Bull has a big blister on the left rear," says Raikkonen of Ricciardo. "Push Kimi, push," he's told.
Verstappen has extended his lead to 5.8s as Ricciardo's pace behind appears to fade.
Replays show Magnussen passed Sainz for eighth at the inside of Turn 3.
Bottas is back in the pits and disconsolately telling reporters that his luck this year "feels like a bit of a joke, really".
Vettel is going to make it a four-way fight for second soon, he's lapping faster than Ricciardo, Raikkonen and Hamilton ahead.
Hartley is the only driver not on the soft tyres - he's on the supersofts - as Ericsson started on the yellow walled Pirelli rubber.
The only drivers yet to stop are Ericsson in 11th and Hartley in 13th.
Grosjean is back up to sixth and looks like he'll be pretty lonely from here - 25s behind Vettel but 8s clear of Ocon behind.
"I have a huge rear-left blister," boasts Sainz. "I don't know why, a lot of vibration."
"I feel like I'm running out of power," reports Hamilton.
Leaders: 1 Verstappen; 2 Ricciardo +4.9s; 3 Raikkonen +5.9s; 4 Hamilton +6.7s; 5 Vettel +8.7s
Raikkonen locks up at Turn 3, does this give Hamilton a chance?
