Hello everyone and welcome to AUTOSPORT Live, as we continue with the story of round 13 in this year's FIA Formula 1 world championship - the Singapore Grand Prix night event.

Championship leader Sebastian Vettel blazed a trail in second practice last night, putting distance between himself and the restof the field with an impressive lap of 1m44.249s in the Red Bull. He was 0.6.04s clear of team-mate Mark Webber, with Nico Rosberg more than one second adrift in third and Lewis Hamilton was fourth.

Romain Grosjean was plagued by a braking issue for much of the evening, but he recovered well to end up in fifth spot, just ahead of title challenger Fernando Alonso.

Vettel fastest in second practice

The teams and drivers have just 60 minutes now to fettle the cars, find the optimum balance and the best compromise between raw pace and tyre durability in both high and low fuel trim.
