61 min: Hulkenberg struggling on the harder tyre. Five seconds off his best on that last lap. Fronts seem to be the issue.
59 min: But Webber is now a full 1.8s faster, having completed 17 laps on this set of medium tyres. His last lap was 1m36.451s.
58 min: A few laps later and we have Vettel and Rosberg on their similar age soft tyres lapping one-tenth apart.
58 min: Problems for Jules Bianchi, who has cut his session short suffering from a stomach upset.
56 min: Grosjean has pipped Kimi to fourth with a small improvement to 1m30.843s. The two Lotuses just 0.005s apart now.
56 min: Webber has done 15 laps on his set of medium tyres and he is sixth-tenths of a second quicker at 1m36.767s.
55 min: Chilton brings up the rear. He's currently six tenths shy of Marussia team-mate Bianchi.
55 min: Vettel and Rosberg are out there on soft tyres that have completed nine and 10 laps. They are both lapping in 1m37.3s.
54 min: The Caterhams have re-asserted their authority over the battle at the back. Pic (19th) leads van der Garde by two tenths, with Bianchi's Marussia another two tenths further back.
53 min: Grosjean has also gone quicker in the second Lotus. He's seventh now on a 1m31.087s, two tenths shy of Kimi's mark.
51 min: Vettel, Webber and Ricciardo are already into high fuel mode and working through a long stint.
51 min: Button has indeed gone significantly quicker. He's now eighth on a 1m31.568s. That's about 1.9s he's found there.
51 min: Track temperature has climbed to 29 degrees Celsius, although it remains overcast around the circuit.
49 min: Raikkonen's Lotus (now minus passive DRS) improves by 1.4s to go fourth on a 1m30.848s.
49 min: Maldonado is out there on his soft tyre run. He moves up to 15th position with a time of 1m32.880s.
48 min: Button is on a soft tyre run in his McLaren. Can he climb up from a lowly 17th?
48 min: Alonso did a personal best in the first sector but didn't improve there.
47 min: Massa oversteers through the final corner but finds two tenths to improve to 1m31.059s. That puts him just 0.003s behind Alonso.
46 min: Vettel heads out to begin another run and this is soft tyres again for the German. He leads Rosberg by 0.235s with Webber third.
46 min: Raikkonen back out on the soft tyres for another go, but runs wide at Turn 3.
45 min: Alonso goes fourth with a 1m31.056s. He's found a mammoth 1.5s there as his Ferrari shows better reliability. Massa is fifth, two tenths further back.
44 min: Bottas improves on his soft tyre run and moves up to 13th position, with 1m32.879s.
43 min: Webber exits the pits and has medium tyres bolted onto the car.
43 min: Ricciardo heads back out for what is his third run in the session. He is on soft tyres and has slipped down the order to sixth position.
43 min: Perez goes eighth with a 1m32.0s best for McLaren. He's found eight tenths on that lap.
42 min: Sutil is into another timed lap but this is not quick in the first sector and he may be back in at the end of the lap.
42 min: Sutil has backed off for a lap, most likely to clean up the tyres and with heavy braking to remove some of that gravel.
42 min: Grosjean finds a few hundredths to dip into the 1m32s. He's 13th and Raikkonen is 14th for Lotus.
41 min: The German managed to just keep control and get the car over the line and into another lap.
41 min: Sutil ran wide at the final right-hander and onto the gravel, where he attempted to keep his foot in and almost lost the Force India completely.
40 min: Grosjean back out and on a personal best lap at the moment.
40 min: Sutil moves up the list to seventh position with 1m32.060s but with an extremely hairy moment exiting the final corner.
39 min: Button has pitted again. He's 16th in this session so far, three tenths adrift of his team-mate.
39 min: The McLarens are both back out on track.
38 min: Sutil is out there on a soft tyre run now and looking to better a time of 1m33.165s. He is 14th in the classification at the moment.
38 min: Hamilton moves up on soft tyres, but only by around eight-tenths with a lap of 1m31.304s. He is fourth now.
37 min: Rosberg comes round and improves by 1.4s with a lap of 1m30.651s. He goes second to Vettel.
36 min: Hamilton is out there on soft tyres and he will be looking to make big gains on his previous best of 1m32.031s.
36 min: Van der Garde is happier with the balance of his Caterham after some aero tweaks, but he and team-mate Pic still trail Chilton's Marussia by 0.8s after two runs.
35 min: Vettel was fastest in the final sector as well. He has now backed off considerably to cool down his soft compound.
