Lap 73: Button climbs out of the McLaren and walks away after a frustrating drive.
Lap 73: All eyes from the top men now on Vergne's pace, but none will want to blink for a change of tyre with still only very light rain.
Lap 72: Button launches up the outside of Kovalainen at Turn 1 and takes to the escape road.
Lap 72: Brilliant driving from Button in these slippery conditions, as Vergne pits from seventh ... for intermediates.
Lap 72: Hamilton looks the man most likely at the moment, jinking left and right around the gearbox of Vettel's Red Bull.
Lap 72: Button lost five seconds in that spin, but amazingly has caught back up to Kovalainen again!
Lap 71: Things building nicely now as Webber heads the train into the unknown of an increasingly slippery circuit.
Lap 71: Race control states that the lap one incident between Schumacher and Grosjean will be investigates after the race.
Lap 71: More rain falling at Mirabeau now as the lead five slide down into the hairpin.
Lap 70: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are all nose to tail now as leader Webber slows to form a mighty train.
Lap 70: Button gets going again and is underway. He has lost a place to Perez.
Lap 70: The rain is now falling hard enough to affect lap times just a little bit. The circuit is getting greasy.
Lap 69: Gaps continue to tighten as Webber takes it easy for the moment. Vettel is now just 2.7s off the lead and right with Alonso.
Lap 69: Vergne in seventh is losing pace. The Force India duo are nine seconds behind him, then comes Raikkonen in 10th, with Senna on his gearbox in 12th.
Lap 68: Ricciardo pits the Toro Rosso from 15th position this is also looks like a retirement. He is wheeled back into the garage.
Lap 68: Still nothing but the odd drop of rain for the moment, with the lead pace still in the 1m20s bracket.
Lap 68: Charles Pic has stopped on track at Turn 11. He was in 17th position.
Lap 67: The four car scrap between Kovalainen, Button, Ricciardo and Perez for what is now 12th, continues to rage.
Lap 67: Rosberg is now clocked just a second behind Webber as umbrellas go up in the grandstands.
Lap 66: Schumacher is wheeled back into the garage and it looks to be all over for the German.
Lap 66: Schumacher is into the pits from ninth and he heads in slowly.
Lap 66: Webber is being cautious at the moment, being closed by Rosberg, as more spits of rain are felt in the air.
Lap 65: Further spots of rain over the circuit and it's beginning to get a touch heavier. Circuit may become greasy soon if this continues.
Lap 65: Di Resta surges past the Mercedes on the pit straight and he takes over eighth position.
Lap 65: Massa in sixth is still just 7.2 seconds off the lead, meaning the leading runners could be shuffled if there is enough rain to force stops.
Lap 65: Further up the road we have another scrap, as the Force India drivers have caught Schumacher.
Lap 64: Kovalainen's pace is dropping in 13th. Button has been there all the time, but Ricciardo and Perez are right with them.
Lap 64: Leader Webber is warned of a few spots of rain at Mirabeau.
Lap 63: Schumacher put up no resistance to that move. He is down to eighth and has almost 10s over di Resta's Force India.
Lap 63: Further light spots of rain falling now, as Vergne passes Schumacher for seventh place heading into Ste. Devote.
Lap 62: Hamilton vs Massa is the best fight in the top six, with plenty of previous between that pair - including a clash here last year.
Lap 62: Vergne in eighth is now catching Schumacher quickly as the German presses on with a slight issue. The gap is 2.5s.
Lap 62: Meantime, further down the order, Kovalainen has Button on his gearbox still, as they fight for 13th.
Lap 60: Schumacher's progress is halted, as he reports a problem with the car on team radio. The team advises him that the issue may clear up.
Lap 60: Webber remains comfortable out front, with the top six all spaced out of immediate scrapping distance.
