Lap 50: Five laps remain in Korea with plenty of teams nervous about making it to the flag.
Lap 50: Ricciardo is now losing pace in eighth. He is just 2.2s clear of the Vergne versus Hamilton battle.
Lap 49: Plenty of astroturf and green matting being thrown up by the cars now, creating pieces of debris on the circuit.
Lap 49: Alonso senses the Red Bull concern over tyre wear and is slowly closing on Webber.
Lap 49: Massa sets the fastest lap at 1m42.242 as the Brazilian demonstrates very strong race pace this afternoon.
Lap 49: The recent Caterham position swap seems to have discouraged Glock, who is falling away from them now in 18th.
Lap 48: Another lap goes by and Hamilton isn't close enough to Vergne to take advantage. He remains in a lowly 10th spot.
Lap 48: Webber sets his best lap of the race but it is only fractions quicker than Vettel as the lead gap remains at 10 seconds.
Lap 47: Vergne robustly protects his line through Turns 4 and 5 and holds the Briton off for now, but surely it is a matter of time before the McLaren is through.
Lap 47: Behind Vergne, Hamilton gets into the DRS zone but he cannot get the move done into Turn 3 this time round.
Lap 47: Vettel is given a shopping list of corners to take slower as Red Bull get nervous over the leader's tyre wear.
Lap 47: Ricciardo has run off the road and lost four seconds. He recovered and is still eighth, but Vergne is only 4.6s back now.
Lap 46: Further down the order, Kovalainen has passed team-mate Petrov again and moved up to 16th place.
Lap 46: Hamilton starts to attack Vergne with those supersoft tyres, but the Toro Rosso driver holds him off for the moment.
Lap 46: Vettel's lead is 10 seconds over Webber, with Alonso now four seconds further back. Massa remains 1.5s off his team-mate in fourth.
Lap 46: Di Resta maintains 11th with Perez 12th, Schumacher 13th, Maldonado 14th and Senna 15th.
Lap 45: Ricciardo continues in eighth with Vergne ninth, but the recovering Hamilton is beginning to attack Vergne.
Lap 45: 10 laps remain in a largely processional Korean Grand Prix.
Lap 45: Nervous looks at Ferrari as the cameras pick up heavy graining on the right front of Alonso's Ferrari.
Lap 43: Massa has hardly heeded that instruction to give Alonso some space as he laps just 1.4 seconds behind his team leader.
Lap 43: Perez passes Schumacher into the Turn 3 braking zone and takes 12th from the Mercedes driver.
Lap 43: Di Resta is still 10th with Schumacher 11th and dropping back all the time.
Lap 43: Vettel, who leads by nine seconds, is warned of right front graining.
Lap 43: Raikkonen's pace is poor at this stage in fifth and he has fallen 18.7 seconds behind Massa.
Lap 42: Ricciardo is holding onto ninth. He is 9.5s back from the three-car scrap ahead and 8.8s clear of his team-mate Vergne.
Lap 42: Hamilton is still ahead of Grosjean on the road but a third stop will put the struggling McLaren well down the order.
Lap 41: Maldonado in 14th place is losing pace. He has only stopped once so far. Team-mate Senna is catching him quickly.
Lap 41: Vergne pitted last time round and rejoined in 10th spot, behind team-mate Ricciardo.
Lap 41: Great stuff from Hulkenberg there as he clears Hamilton and Grosjean to take sixth, while Hamilton is told he will have to stop again.
Lap 40: Grosjean tries to pass Hamilton but doesn't make it as the pair are mugged by Hulkenberg around the outside.
Lap 40: Hamilton's struggle continues with Grosjean now right on his case.
Lap 39: Perez in 13th is now all over the back of Schumacher and having a go into Turn 3. He has to back out of it at the last moment and the German survives.
Lap 39: Massa is told he is "a bit too close to Fernando" as he is ordered to stop pressuring his team-mate.
Lap 39: Di Resta has passed Schumacher down the long straight into Turn 3. The Scot takes over 11th position.
