Lap 55: Alonso is somewhat comically told of Vettel's sparking plank in the DRS zone but is still 9.5 seconds behind the leader.
Lap 54: Hamilton is now just 1.5 seconds behind Webber and homing in on the Red Bull.
Lap 54: Schumacher then passes the Caterham driver with ease and he is up to 18th position.
Lap 54: Replays pick up Vettel's car sparking down the long back straight, which could be the result of clattering the kerbs.
Lap 54: Schumacher has passed Charles Pic to take 19th. His next target is Kovalainen, who is immediately ahead.
Lap 53: Vergne and Maldonado have both come through and past Petrov. They are into 15th and 16th positions.
Lap 52: Senna gets a great run with the DRS and tows past Rosberg to take over 10th place at the end of the long straight into Turn 4.
Lap 52: A new fastest lap for Hamilton and he's now clocked just 2.6s behind Webber.
Lap 51: Hamilton continues to close on Webber and will quickly be with the ailing Red Bull.
Lap 51: Kovalainen is 18th with Pic 19th and Schumacher a further two seconds back in 20th position, followed by Glock and Karthikeyan.
Lap 51: But Vergne is back on the Russian's tail again and the battle resumes for 15th place, with Maldonado in close attendance.
Lap 51: Massa still has Raikkonen glued to his rear wing, with the Finn still unable to make a DRS move on the slippery Ferrari.
Lap 50: Vergne in 16th spot made a lunge on Petrov, but the move didn't work, allowing the Russian to pull clear briefly.
Lap 50: Alonso doesn't seems too worried about his fuel consumption as he sets the fastest lap in 1m29.236s.
Lap 50: Senna is on the rear of Rosberg's Mercedes in 11th, with di Resta 12th, Ricciardo 13th and Kobayashi in 14th position.
Lap 50: Hamilton is told of Webber's KERS problem and encouraged on by the team.
Lap 49: Button now sets the fastest lap, with McLaren finding late pace here.
Lap 49: Hulkenberg maintains eighth spot, but has Grosjean on his tail, with Rosberg a whopping 21 seconds behind this pair in 10th place.
Lap 49: Hamilton is now just 4.2 seconds behind Webber and must now be eying the final podium place.

Lap 48: That's a great move from the Spaniard over the KERS-lacking Webber, which helps his championship cause significantly.

Lap 47: Down the order, both Vergne and Maldonado have passed Kovalainen. These three are in 16th, 17th and 18th positions.
Lap 46: Vettel's lead is clocked at 10.1 seconds over Webber, who is having KERS issues.
Lap 46: The stewards have announced that the investigation surrounding Schumacher ignoring blue flags, will take place after the race.
Lap 46: Yellow flags remain in place at Turn 4 while the HRT is removed to a safe place behind the barriers.
Lap 46: A handful of marshals go to work as we hear replays of the Spaniard reporting brake failure on the radio.
Lap 45: De la Rosa has skated backwards off the road and into retirement at Turn 4. He is out of the race.
Lap 45: Raikkonen is getting used to the rear wing of Massa's Ferrari by now. He is less than one second behind the Brazilian.
Lap 44: Hamilton in fourth is now 6.2s behind Alonso, with Button fifth and Massa holding onto sixth spot.
Lap 44: Webber is told 'these are good laps' by his race engineer Ciaron Pilbeam. He edges the buffer out to 2.3s over the Ferrari driver.
Lap 43: Vettel maintains a 10.9s lead over Webber, with Alonso a further 2.2s back in third spot.
Lap 43: So Kovalainen in down to 16th with Vergne closing in quickly. Pic was 18th, but he has just been passed by the recovering Maldonado.
Lap 43: Ferrari's worry on fuel extends to Alonso, with the Spaniard also told to employ fuel saving tactics.
Lap 42: Petrov is through in a position switch with Caterham team-mate Kovalainen. He is up to 15th.
Lap 42: Raikkonen continues to pressure Massa, with Ferrari surely still worried about the tight fuel fill on the Brazilian's car.
