Lap 65: Vettel continues to charge forwards, clocked 8.8 seconds behind Grosjean and closing fast.
Lap 65: Marshals are slowly removing the HRT away from the side of the circuit. Yellows remain in place up the hill.
Lap 65: Hamilton's lead is one second from Raikkonen with four to go.
Lap 65: Hamilton is told on the radio that he can set the yellow button on his steering wheel to give maximum from the McLaren to the finish.
Lap 65: Karthikeyan has dinged the barrier at what looks like Turn 4. He is off to the side of the track and retiring with left front corner damage.
Lap 64: Senna is holding on well to seventh spot, but Webber is within one second and Massa has joined the fun. He is 1.4s behind the Australian.
Lap 64: Hamilton confirms his tyres are still in good shape with his best race lap of 1m25.752s.
Lap 62: Nine-tenths closed for Perez on the last lap and he has the gap to 13th placed Maldonado down to 3.4s.
Lap 62: Perez in 14th is putting on a spurt in the closing stages. He is 4.3s behind Maldonado and closing at over half-a-second per lap.
Lap 62: The lead gap is clocked at 0.8 seconds as Hamilton flashes past followed by Raikkonen.
Lap 62: Hamilton is now approaching lapped traffic in the form of de la Rosa's HRT.
Lap 61: A disappointing day for the German. It all went wrong at the start and on pace it wasn't getting any better. Schumacher retires.
Lap 61: Vettel is now clocked 17 seconds behind Grosjean in fourth but sets the fastest lap.
Lap 61: Webber is not really making progress on Senna and his three-stopper isn't working out for the moment.
Lap 61: Schumacher pits the Mercedes from 18th place. This is for good and the mechanics wheel him into the garage.
Lap 60: So after those late Red Bull stops it is Hamilton from Raikkonen, Grosjean, Vettel, Alonso, Button, Senna and Webber.
Lap 60: Raikkonen says his only hope of getting past is if Hamilton's rear tyres fade.
Lap 60: There could be another battle coming at the rear of the field. De la Rosa isn't done with Glock yet. They are battling for 22nd and the Spaniard has the gap down to 2.8s.
Lap 60: Alonso is looking for a move on the Red Bull but the championship leader is held off.
Lap 59: Soft tyres go on for Vettel and he's away for a charge to the finish.
Lap 59: Kovalainen pits from 19th and should maintain track position over team-mate Petrov.
Lap 59: Webber is now 2.6 seconds behind Senna and closing on the Williams.
Lap 58: Hamilton is keeping Raikkonen comfortably at bay for now, but the difference may come in the late laps when Hamilton's tyres are worn out.
Lap 56: Senna, Button and Alonso will surely be on Webber's hit list as he looks to take advantage of fresh rubber.
Lap 55: Massa maintains ninth but is 4.6s back from Senna, with Rosberg 10th, Hulkenberg 11th and di Resta 12th.
Lap 55: Webber resumes on another set of softs, just ahead of Massa.
Lap 55: Senna is driving a solid race in that Williams. He is still eighth and keeping pace with Button's McLaren. The gap is 1.5s.
Lap 55: Webber, in fifth, is still on soft rubber and surely one of the most likely to run into rubber problems at the end.
Lap 54: Up front, Raikkonen begins to exercise his DRS but the opening rear wing hasn't proved an effective overtaking aid so far today.
Lap 54: Further back, Grosjean is 4.4 seconds off the lead and tailed by Vettel.
Lap 54: Petrov has also been in from 20th place, for his third stop of the afternoon.
Lap 54: Raikkonen is now right with Hamilton, with the Lotus now in the dirty air from the McLaren.
Lap 54: Maldonado pits from 12th - a sight that a certain Paul di Resta will be pleased about - after being handed a drive-through penalty.
Lap 54: Vergne responds to the potential attack from Schumacher over the final laps. He puts in his best lap of 1m26.965s to maintain the gap.
Lap 54: Raikkonen is told to turn his KERS down for the moment, but will be able to put it back to full strength in the closing laps.
Lap 53: Schumacher posts his best lap of the race so far - 1m27.604s. He is still down in 18th place, but is now 7.1s behind Vergne.
