Lap 28: Grosjean rejoined from that stop in 13th place, a few seconds behind the Button versus Rosberg fight.
Lap 27: The Venezuelan is now 21 seconds behind Kovalainen in 16th place, so it will take him some time to catch the Finn.
Lap 27: Grosjean pits for a second stop, having been in early for damage repairs.
Lap 26: Alonso is certainly happy with the hard tyres at the moment, taking back the fastest lap with a new best of 1m37.042s.
Lap 26: Glock and Maldonado both get through ahead of the ailing Spaniard, knocking him down to 19th position. He stays out.
Lap 25: De la Rosa is still to stop and his pace is suffering badly. Glock in 17th is on the HRT's gearbox and will surely be through by the end of this lap.
Lap 25: So it's Alonso by 4.8 seconds over Webber, with Vettel a further 3.6 seconds back in third. Massa is fourth, ahead of Raikkonen and Hamilton
Lap 25: Raikkonen, now released, sets the fastest lap of the race at a 1m37.386s.
Lap 25: Hamilton likes that and pulls alongside the Mercedes... and cuts through with a move of his own at Stowe.
Lap 24: But it's a shuffle ahead as Raikkonen makes an easy DRS pass on Schumacher.
Lap 24: Button remains in 12th but is only 1.4s behind the squabbling pair, with Rosberg now 2.3s behind the Briton.
Lap 24: Hamilton is encouraged to use his tyres to attack Raikkonen and Schumacher, with the team plotting a short stint on these tyres.
Lap 23: Behind this developing scrap led by Schumacher, back in 10th spot Hulkenberg is now coming under serious attack from Senna.
Lap 23: Hamilton begins to shape up the pair ahead, who both fitted hard tyres some 10 laps earlier than the McLaren man.
Lap 22: Hamilton is well-placed now to attack that pair with the advantage of fresh, softer rubber over the pair in front.
Lap 22: Hamilton resumes and is behind both Schumacher and Raikkonen on the road.
Lap 22: Grosjean is slowly but surely closing in that four second gap to team-mate Raikkonen. He has it down to 3.6s, but remains in eighth.
Lap 22: It's a good change of tyres this time for Hamilton and he's away on soft tyres.
Lap 22: McLaren is ready in the pitlane for Hamilton's late first stop.
Lap 21: Alonso's lead is now 2.3 seconds over Hamilton, with Webber a similar margin further back in third for the moment.
Lap 21: So Kovalainen retakes 16th, then comes the yet-to-stop de la Rosa in 17th, Glock 18th, Pic 19th, Maldonado 20th and Karthikeyan is last.
Lap 21: Hamilton is battling to come out in the region of Schumacher and Raikkonen after his stop, with his rubber looking to be past its best now.
Lap 20: The crowd enjoyed that fine scrap between Alonso and Hamilton, with a huge cheer as the pair went wheel-to-wheel at Luffield.
Lap 20: Glock pits from 16th place, handing that position back to Kovalainen in the Caterham.
Lap 19: Button has passed Rosberg and is up to 12th position, with the German now 13th, Ricciardo 14th and Vergne 15th.
Lap 19: Alonso has the advantage on DRS but he doesn't need it as fresh rubber finally puts the Ferrari back in the lead after a great battle.
Lap 19: Grosjean is eighth after making his way through most of the field, with Kobayashi ninth, Hulkenberg 10th and Senna 11th.
Lap 19: Alonso is right with Hamilton now, with the Spaniard looking to make a move at Vale.
Lap 18: Schumacher is down to sixth after that round of stops, with Hamilton currently pushing to come out from his stop ahead of the Mercedes.
Lap 18: Rosberg is up to 12th with Button in 13th and right on the tail of the Mercedes driver.
Lap 18: Webber runs third for the moment, ahead of team-mate Vettel and the fired-up Massa.
Lap 18: Karthikeyan is also in and out. Button has lost track position to Rosberg in the stops.
Lap 17: Ricciardo also pits, as Button takes on a set of soft tyres before rejoining.
Lap 17: Hamilton still leads for the moment but Alonso is using his fresh rubber to close quickly on the McLaren.
Lap 17: Kobayashi, Hulkenberg and Button all take this opportunity to stop.
Lap 17: Hulkenberg and Rosberg run fifth and sixth, yet to stop, with Vettel and Massa following behind.
Lap 17: Hamilton, Kobayashi, Hulkenberg, Button, Ricciardo, Glock, de la Rosa and Karthikeyan are all yet to stop.
Lap 16: Webber is third on the road, having stopped, with Kobayashi behind and yet to visit the pits.
