Lap 40: Alguersuari pits from 14th place in the Toro Rosso, while his team-mate Buemi continues to run in fifth.
Lap 40: Leader Vettel is now in for his final stop.
Lap 40: Button resumes in clear air ahead of Petrov, with 18 laps still to run.
Lap 40: Heidfeld passes Barrichello for ninth in the DRS zone and just behind them on the road Massa pulls the same trick on Schumacher for 11th.
Lap 40: Button is in for his final pitstop.
Lap 39: Kobayashi pits from 14th and not a moment too soon. Alguersuari takes over that place, with di Resta up to 15th.
Lap 39: Button is now up to fourth, with Buemi now fifth ahead of his next stop, while Hamilton is sixth after that disastrous McLaren pitstop.
Lap 39: Alonso is second and now the fastest lap holder as he races on, 1.8 seconds head of Webber.
Lap 38: Vettel leads by a sizable margin of 25 seconds ahead of his final stop.
Lap 38: Rosberg uses those tyres well and immediately passes Barrichello for seventh.
Lap 37: Rosberg could be the man to watch here as he got hard tyre running out of the way earlier and is now on softs.
Lap 37: Kobayashi's pace has dropped off horribly and he needs to get some fresh tyres. Alguersuari is now all over the back of him.
Lap 37: Hamilton sets the fastest lap of the race as he finds good speed on the hard rubber, but he needs to carry those tyres a long way.
Lap 37: It's close down the pit straight but Alonso is away, ahead of Webber for what they hope is the run to the flag.
Lap 36: Sutil also got his own back on the Japanese driver and retakes track position - Schumacher now 11th, Sutil 12th, Massa 13th and Kobayashi 14th.
Lap 36: Alonso responds to Webber's stop with his own pit visit for hard rubber.
Lap 36: Massa has run wide in Turn 8 on the hefty bed of marbles and is now in a scrap with Kobayashi.
Lap 36: Webber is in for his hard tyre stop this time by.
Lap 36: Hamilton has the hard tyres on his McLaren and could go the distance, but is now behind Button on the road.
Lap 36: Away from the action, Schumacher has surged past both Sutil and Kobayashi to take over 12th place.
Lap 35: Heidfeld moves up to eighth with Rosberg's stop. Buemi is now ninth and Barrichello is 10th.
Lap 35: Hamilton has a terrible stop with a slow right-front wheel nut. He's also stopped from leaving as Massa slices into the Ferrari box.
Lap 35: Button steams past Massa, who then pits.
Lap 35: Hamilton's pace has been better in this stint and he now pits.
Lap 34: Kobayashi launches up the inside with his front tyres locked up at Turn 1, just as Rosberg rejoins the race. The Japanese takes over 12th.
Lap 34: Rosberg is in for his third stop and heads out on soft rubber.
Lap 34: Button is still boxed up behind Massa as this pair badly compromise his three-stop plan.
Lap 34: Di Resta and Perez pit from 15th and 17th in the race. This is the third stop for each of them.
Lap 33: Up front, Alonso is matching Vettel on laptime at this stage but is nine seconds behind the leader.
Lap 33: Kobayashi is now on the tail of Adrian Sutil in a developing battle for 12th, but Schumacher is catching both of them at a rate of knots.
Lap 33: Rosberg is told he blistered the rear tyres when he was on the softer compound.
Lap 33: Kovalainen pits from 19th in the Lotus - his second stop of the afternoon. Trulli takes over that position.
Lap 32: Schumacher rejoined in 14th place following that stop. He is 3.3s behind Kobayashi and is immediately homing in on the Sauber.
Lap 31: This traffic is not helping Button's three-stop challenge, with the McLaren now 41 seconds off the lead.
Lap 31: Schumacher pits for the third time from 10th place. He drops out of the points positions, handing that place to Buemi.
Lap 31: Maldonado has passed Kovalainen on track for 18th position.
Lap 31: Button is pressuring Massa as they form up behind Petrov. Rosberg and Heidfeld are moving in on this developing train of cars.
Lap 31: Nick Heidfeld continues to run in ninth and is putting as much pressure as possible on Rosberg. Schumacher is 3.3s behind them in 10th.
Lap 30: Alguersuari now makes his second stop from 12th position, handing the position to Barrichello.
Lap 30: Alonso does the DRS shuffle on Webber and is easily through into second.
