Lap 60: Still no success for Hamilton but he remains in the DRS zone right behind Vettel.
Lap 60: Massa is toiling with those tyres and Heidfeld is through into ninth position. He will continue his battle with Perez now.
Lap 59: Heidfeld isn't done yet and may snatch more points. Meantime, Perez surges up to the back of Massa and takes over eighth from the Ferrari.
Lap 59: Behind, Webber is slowly closing on Button as he looks for the final podium place. They are over half-a-minute off the lead.
Lap 59: Hamilton is once again close to a Turn 1 move but Vettel still has it covered in this fascinating scrap for the lead.
Lap 59: Kobayashi is through, past Petrov for 11th and he will try and charge after Perez and Heidfeld.
Lap 58: Kobayashi is now on Petrov's gearbox as they fight for 11th and you know that the Sauber driver won't give up with a point possible.
Lap 58: The lead pair are in clear air now, with Alguersuari the next man to lap but far away up the road.
Lap 58: Hamilton looks to have the quicker car at this stage but Vettel is doing a great job of holding off the McLaren so far.
Lap 58: Heidfeld has passed Petrov and is up into that 10th place.
Lap 57: Heidfeld is also charging. This is a great scrap for the final point. Quick Nick passes Kobayashi for 11th as they both catch Petrov, who is struggling badly.
Lap 57: Hamilton is told he can use "yellow button" - likely to be some additional power from the engine.
Lap 57: Another blast on DRS puts Hamilton right on Vettel into the first corner but it is a tricky place to pass with so much debris off the line.
Lap 57: Kobayashi is now just three seconds behind Heidfeld and we have the distinct possibility of both Saubers making the points.
Lap 56: Perez is through! He passes Petrov into Turn 1 and takes over ninth place.
Lap 56: It's DRS and KERS for Hamilton but he can't quite make it past this time.
Lap 56: Kobayashi is just 4.5s down on this battle between Petrov and Perez and catching them quickly.
Lap 55: Petrov is ninth but Perez is on his gearbox in 10th as they come through the final complex.
Lap 55: Dicing with traffic further closes the gap as Hamilton piles the pressure on Vettel for the lead.
Lap 55: Massa is eighth and 15 seconds down on the Mercedes pair as Maldonado pits for the fourth time from 13th.
Lap 55: Hamilton is on DRS as he closes to 0.7 seconds behind leader Vettel. "Hamilton is within range" warns Vettel's engineer.
Lap 55: Schumacher remains in sixth but is now 25 seconds down on Alonso. Rosberg is still just one second behind his team-mate in seventh.
Lap 54: The lead battle cuts past Karthikeyan's HRT, with a second between the pair and still over 10 laps remaining.
Lap 54: Petrov now takes over ninth spot with Perez up to 10th, Kobayashi 11th, Heidfeld 12th, Maldonado 13th and di Resta rejoined in 14th.
Lap 53: Hamilton is right on the gearbox of leader Vettel as he is encouraged on by the team.
Lap 53: Kobayashi passes Maldonado for what is 12th place as they enter Turn 1. Maldonado protected the inside but could do nothing against the forceful Japanese driver.
Lap 53: Webber is closing on Button but he will need to pass the McLaren on the road if he wants the final podium place.
Lap 53: Hamilton sets the fastest lap at a rapid 1m26.727s despite the now cleared yellow flags.
Lap 53: Heidfeld has been into the pits from 10th and now di Resta is in for his final stop of the afternoon, from ninth place.
Lap 52: Alguersuari has been into the pits for the fourth time. He is outside the top 15.
Lap 52: Vettel has made good use of the outlaps and now has a 2.4 second lead over Hamilton.
Lap 52: The marshals are on the scene and slowly arranging for a vehicle to move the Lotus away from the outside of the circuit.
Lap 51: Kovalainen climbs out of the car and moves behind the barrier.
Lap 51: Adrian Sutil has also been into the pits, as we see Kovalainen off with light front end damage at Turn 4.
Lap 51: Vettel is now told that he can use KERS, perhaps after allowing it to cool.
Lap 51: Hamilton has to clear di Resta in the Force India and is clocked 1.9 seconds behind leader Vettel.
Lap 50: The Sauber stop moves Heidfeld into the points from the back of the grid, with Petrov 11th, Maldonado up to 12th and Perez rejoins in 14th.
Lap 50: Hamilton will have one lap of tyre advantage on Vettel, but the leader's lack of KERS could be the deciding factor.
Lap 50: Hamilton is down and away, resuming just behind Vettel in second place.
