Lap 24: Di Resta in seventh has closed to 2.3s behind Rosberg, but cannot make any further headway at this moment.
Lap 24: Hamilton tells the team that his rubber is overheating and is advised to use some wet patches to cool the tyres.
Lap 24: Hamilton is also fighting through lapped traffic at the moment.
Lap 23: Button clocks his best time of the race as he continues to slowly edge closer to leader Hamilton, who may have used the best from his tyres.
Lap 23: But Kovalainen cannot hold them back. Maldonado gets through into Turn 1 and as the Lotus runs wide, Sutil also sneaks past at the exit.
Lap 23: A fantastic five-car scrap is on for 15th. Kovalainen has Maldonado, Sutil, Heidfeld and Perez all tight up behind him.
Lap 23: Hamilton's lead is 8.5 seconds, the distance of the pit straight, with Button closing slightly on the latest lap.
Lap 23: Webber has picked up his pace with the fastest lap and he is now slowly closing back up on the trio ahead.
Lap 23: A battle for eighth is now on with Massa on the gearbox of Schumacher's Mercedes.
Lap 22: Ferrari is urging its drivers on as they continue to be boxed up behind other cars.
Lap 21: The stewards have deemed that no further action will be taken following an investigation for unsafe release. Kovalainen is free to carry on.
Lap 21: Kovalainen is up to 15th place in the other T128 following Maldonado's drive-through.
Lap 19: Hamilton continues to blitz the fastest laptime, with the team surely telling him to be cautious not to take too much out of this rubber.
Lap 19: Trulli pulls into the entrance of the pitlane and climbs out of the Lotus. His day is over.
Lap 19: Meteo France informs the team via its radar that another shower is expected in just over 10 minutes.
Lap 18: A poor lap from Webber that time by with Hamilton pulling 18.3 seconds - almost a pitstop - ahead of the Webber/Alonso scrap.
Lap 18: Di Resta remains seventh but he is just 2.5s dow,n on the Mercedes.
Lap 17: Still drops of rain in the air as Hamilton presses on to an 8.6 second lead over team-mate Button.
Lap 17: Di Resta is running quicker than Rosberg following those stops. The Scot is closing down that gap of three seconds.
Lap 17: Alonso is right in the DRS zone on Webber and must be keen to put a move on the Red Bull. The pair are setting a strong pace at the moment.
Lap 16: Alonso, however, is harrying Webber as Hamilton loses some time lapping Trulli at Turn 2.
Lap 16: But it's going backwards for Maldonado as he comes in to serve a drive-through penalty for speeding in the pitlane.
Lap 16: Big winners in the pitstop phase: Di Resta, Barrichello and Maldonado all made up positions.
Lap 16: Vettel is keeping pace with Button but showing no signs of attacking the McLaren man.
Lap 16: Alguersuari is 15th ahead of Kovalainen 16th, Heidfeld 17th, Sutil 18th, Perez 19th and Glock 20th.
Lap 15: Kobayashi is 10th but now 10 seconds behind Massa, with Barrichello up to 11th, Petrov 12th, Maldonado 13th and Buemi 14th.
Lap 15: Spots of rain falling once again, adding spice to an already sensational encounter here at the Hungaroring.
Lap 15: Hamilton is really in his element at the moment, clocking fastest lap once again to draw out the lead to 6.5 seconds.
Lap 15: Heikki Kovalainen is under investigation for an unsafe release during his switch to dry tyres.
Lap 15: Di Resta is seventh and got the jump on Schumacher in those stops. The German is eighth, with Massa still ninth.
Lap 15: Behind this epic scrap from the top five, Rosberg is a lonely sixth in his Mercedes.
Lap 14: Maldonado is under investigation for speeding in the pitlane during that stop for dry tyres.
Lap 14: Vettel is warned not to "overlap brakes and throttle" as team-mate Webber runs wide and only just stays ahead of Alonso.
Lap 14: Hamilton sets the fastest lap and leads by 5.2 seconds from team-mate Button.
Lap 14: Trulli and Ricciardo also came in. Everyone has now changed to dry tyres.
Lap 14: Alguersuari pits from the top 10 and falls down the field after spending an extra couple of laps on intermediates.
Lap 14: Also on the move is Webber, who steams past Alonso to take over fourth.
Lap 14: Massa posts the fastest lap of the race so far - 1m35.361s. He is ninth and chasing after di Resta.
Lap 13: Button barges past into Turn 2, making it a McLaren one-two in Hunagry.
Lap 13: Maldonado posts the fastest first sector, with Massa now quickest in the second sector as the drivers get used to running with slicks.
