Lap 26: Button has faded to 2.1s behind Vettel and must be ruing that pitstop blunder that allowed the Red Bull to take track position.
Lap 25: Perez is 13th and tracking Petrov very nicely, but Heidfeld in 14th is running faster than both of them and in fact matching the pace of the leaders currently.
Lap 25: Alonso is trying to make a move on Shumacher using DRS but he is up against a spirited defence from the Mercedes driver.
Lap 24: Hamilton is just 0.6s behind Massa but is yet to make it past the Ferrari, despite being in the zone to use DRS.
Lap 24: Petrov is 12th and almost five seconds behind the Sutil-Kobayashi-Webber battle, but closing in quickly.
Lap 23: Rosberg is being told to lift earlier into the corners as Mercedes look to conserve rubber to try to switch to a two-stopper.
Lap 23: Sutil is coming under attack from Kobayashi and Webber makes it a three-car scrap for ninth.
Lap 23: Rosberg is managing to keep the lead gap at around five seconds, but Vettel needs to pressure him so the Mercedes can't switch strategies.
Lap 22: Trulli does indeed pit the other Lotus this time round and his team-mate Kovalainen takes over 18th position.
Lap 22: Di Resta is in a fine eighth position ahead of team-mate Sutil, with Kobayashi 10th, Webber now 11th, Petrov 12th and Perez in 13th.
Lap 22: Kovalainen pits from 16th place for Lotus. Trulli is 15th but struggling badly for pace. He should be in on the next lap.
Lap 21: Schumacher has Alonso's Ferrari all over his gearbox in a great scrap between the multiple world champions.
Lap 20: Heidfeld pits the Renault finally and takes on soft tyres. He slips down to 16th position, promoting Webber up the order still further.
Lap 20: Button, Massa and Hamilton are right together on the track, with Vettel now pulling clear of that pack.
Lap 19: Alonso has lost out badly and runs ninth now with di Resta 10th, Sutil 11th, Kobayashi 12th and Webber up to 13th.
Lap 19: Rosberg's early stop gives him a 5.5s lead at this stage but he is surely planning three stops with such an early tyre change.
Lap 19: Petrov stops and falls down the order. Heidfeld is also running long and is in serious need of fresh rubber.
Lap 19: An early stop has also worked for Schumacher's Mercedes and he is ahead of Alonso - and now Heidfled as he barges past at Turn 1.
Lap 18: Petrov is now second but yet to stop in his Renault. Vettel is chasing him down, followed by Button, Massa and Hamilton.
Lap 18: Perez and Barrichello pit this time round. Buemi is also in and this is a second stop for the Swiss driver.
Lap 18: Paul di Resta has lost out badly in this pitstop sequence. Sutil and Schumacher are some distance up the road. Di Resta is currently 11th.
Lap 18: Alonso pits from the lead, handing it to the early-stopping Rosberg.
Lap 17: This has worked out badly for Hamilton, who falls clear behind Massa on track position and can't make use of his fresh tyres.
Lap 17: Hamilton has also ended up behind Perez, who he clears at Turn 6.
Lap 17: Sutil pits the Force India from what was sixth place. He rejoins further down the field.
Lap 16: Sutil is up to sixth with first round of stops in progress. Petrov is seventh ahead of Rosberg eighth, Kobayashi ninth and Heidfeld 10th.
Lap 16: Hamilton's pace is poor and he is passed by Massa on the road.
Lap 16: Hamilton will pit this time - both Vettel and Button should leapfrog him, if they are not held up too much by Hiedfeld.
Lap 16: Vettel resumes ahead of the McLaren as they both re-join behind Heidfeld on the road.
Lap 16: Webber is continuing to move up the field. Buemi rejoined following his stop behind the Red Bull and Webber is up to 17th.
Lap 16: It's a terrible error by Button as he pits in the wrong garage!
Lap 15: Rosberg rejoined in 10th following his pitstop but is quickly making progress. He dispatches Heidfeld for ninth.
Lap 15: Hamilton looks to be in the worst shape with his tyres and has Vettel all over his gearbox.
Lap 14: Button, Hamilton and Vettel continue nose-to-tail under a second apart with the first stops now imminent.
