Lap 19: Behind the top four and this wonderful scrap at the front, Schumacher is 15 seconds down in fifth with Rosberg sixth and Kubica seventh.
Lap 19: So it is now a Red Bull one-two with Webber leading from Vettel and the McLaren pair of Hamilton and Button.
Lap 18: It is a rapid stop for Button but he resumes fourth behind team-mate Hamilton.
Lap 18: Alonso is now tenth but is not managing to pull in the Renault of Petrov. In fact, Petrov pulls away on that lap by almost one second.
Lap 18: Button is in the pits this time.
Lap 18: Button is the only man yet to pit and leads from Webber, Vettel, Hamilton, Schumacher and Rosberg.
Lap 17: Meanwhile, Jenson Button sets the fastest lap and he could do well by running longer than the others.
Lap 17: Replays show a fumble on the left rear and that has put Hamilton behind the Red Bull pair.
Lap 16: That slow stop has cost Hamilton heavily as he resumes behind Vettel.
Lap 16: The Red Bull stop is quicker and the pair resume.
Lap 16: Hamilton chases Webber in to the pitlane.
Lap 16: Vettel has resumed behind Rosberg and this is very costly for the German.
Lap 16: Heikki Kovalainen has passed Lotus team-mate Jarno Trulli while the faster cars all pit. The Lotus pair are 16th and 17th currently.
Lap 15: Button is the fastest man through the first sector as he pushes to leapfrog Vettel.
Lap 15: Schumacher also pits his Mercedes. Button will be looking for a rapid lap now to beat the Red Bull when he stops.
Lap 15: Vettel pits from third as the scrap continues between Webber and Hamilton.
Lap 15: Alonso sets his quickest lap of the race so far. 1m32.717s helps him to just 1.2 seconds behind Petrov now. They are 11th and 12th at the moment.
Lap 14: Massa and Kubica pit, taking hard tyres. Both resume without a change of order.
Lap 14: Liuzzi pits from tenth place in the Force India.
Lap 14: McLaren will be confident of leapfrogging the Red Bulls at the stops as they appear to hold a race pace advantage today.
Lap 14: Petrov, Sutil and De la Rosa all pit together from ninth, tenth and 11th. They rejoin in the same order.
Lap 13: Webber leads by 0.4 seconds from Hamilton, with Vettel a further 2.2 seconds behind. Button is fourth and only 1.2 seconds behind the other Red Bull.
Lap 13: Alonso rejoined the race ahead of Kobayashi so the reaction strategy works for the Ferrari driver. Alonso takes over 11th place.
Lap 13: Hamilton is right on the Red Bull this time but he still can't find an open door at Turn 12.
Lap 12: Alonso takes on hard tyres and rejoins the race.
Lap 12: The McLaren team will surely be happy with this pace as both its drivers continue to pressure the Red Bull pair.
Lap 12: Alonso is in the pits from 11th in a move to cover the pitstop of Kobayashi.
Lap 12: Barrichello also pits from 16th and gets routine service. The mechanics also very quickly check the condition of that rear wing.
Lap 11: The F-duct is providing a major advantage for the McLaren down the straights but Webber is still far quicker through the high-speed Turn 8.
Lap 11: Kobayashi pits from 11th place in the Sauber. This releases Alonso into some clean air.
Lap 11: Hamilton sets the fastest lap at a 1m32.422s.
Lap 11: Rubens Barrichello in 16th is continuing on with the rear wing that he suspects may be damaged. He is right on the tail of Liuzzi.
Lap 11: Button is just 1.2 seconds behind Vettel in fourth, with Schumacher fading away from the leaders in fifth, 8.1 seconds back.
Lap 10: Buemi is last in 24th, but he is recovering quickly. He is 25 seconds behind the new team cars but closing in at a rate of five seconds per lap.
Lap 10: Hamilton is still just half a second off the lead, with Vettel a further two seconds back in third.
Lap 10: Senna in 19th is now coming under attack from Hulkenberg. The Williams is through and the Lotus pair are five seconds ahead.
Lap 9: Hamilton continues to put pressure on the leader but things are closely balanced with the Red Bull quick through Turn 8 and the McLaren closing again down the back straight.
Lap 9: Hulkenberg passes Glock for 20th position on the run down the hill to Turn 10.
Lap 9: Senna is holding onto 19th place but now has Glock and the recovering Hulkenberg right on his tail - a three-car scrap at the back.
Lap 8: Trulli is 17th and inevitably dropping back to the tune of eight seconds from Barrichello's Williams. Kovalainen is 18th and close behind.
